Many shows at Bath are listed ‘prior’ to the West End that don’t.
Last revival was in 2019, which is by my reckoning 3 yers ago, so seems too soon.

Probably we need to make allowances for post-Covid commercial considerations. I only ever saw the original production of this 40 years ago. I might see it again now. |

I love this show. Not sure if I would enjoy Felicity Kendall in the role. She might prove me wrong though. Will keep an eye out for the West End transfer.

I saw the original production with Paul Eddington and Patricia Routledge which was just sublime , then a tour in the 1980s which was a bit of a let down. I’d love to see this production but I doubt I will . When I saw the tour includes Bath , I guessed quite rightly Richmond and Brighton would be involved , Cambridge is a bit more adventurous , but as usual nothing any further north , at least not yet.

yep Patricia Routledge was tremendous in that original production - her exasperation being almost painful. and the late Nicky henson being impossible flexible and athletic as he fell down those stairs.It was utter joy, but it will be interesting to see if Play Hoes wrong has killed this particular play.

I went to see Habit of Art in Richmond and we were the only people in the audience not audibly sucking our breath and tutting at the fellatio references. Still at least they were sucking something.

Full cast now announced (courtesy of Playbill).
Anybody spot the 'deliberate' mistake?
Matthew Kelly is in panto in Wimbledon this Christmas, and Tracey-Ann Oberman has The Merchant of Venice coming up in Spring 2023, so a West End transfer may have to be either sooner...or later.

Saw it in Richmond last night. Not as busy as I'd expect though it is running for more nights than the usual one week and done.
It's a decent production, consistently amusing but never reaching the peaks of the last Old Vic run.
I don't think Kendall is a great fit for the role and she and Matthew Kelly are probably the weakest links in the cast.
Coy, who was in the same role at the Old Vic, and particularly Millson as Gary are the stand outs and I liked Sasha Frost as Brooke.

Saw this at the Novello (transfer from OV) in 2012 and at the Garrick in 2019. It's maybe a bit soon for a return but for only 7 weeks it should do well.

Enjoyed the Lyric Hammersmith production that then transferred to the Garrick, it's a great show so i'll always pop and see it when its in london!

Saw this in Richmond - Felicity Kendal was Felicity Kendal but she's pretty close to the part in real life so worked for me! Millson brilliant, and really enjoyed Alex Hanson and the two stage crew (cant remember names sorry!)
Good fun as Noises Off has always been - worth a visit.

I seem to remember seeing it there and sitting behind that American woman from Vogue with the distinctive haircut and sunglasses. She didn't come back after the interval.
