Decent seat booked for March next year but knew I would be able to resist reading the script for that long so managed to get a restricted view seat for early August through the wish list

I am holding out for less restricted seats so suspect I'll be on Friday Forty from now to eternity. I feel you! I'm a bit of a seat snob but feel I might have to relax my snobbery slightly for any chance of seeing this! Keep trying! I just got row E in the stalls for Saturday/Tuesday next week.

I took the plunge. I was looking for a pair which made it harder. I'm booked in for the 28th/29th June. Row V right at the end of the row in the stalls. Hopefully the seats won't be that awful, worried about them but oh well! SOMEONE TELL ME I'VE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!

Where's TheatreMonkey when you need him?!.... I'd imagine they're probably fine for the most part but I'd guess it depends on how much stuff is going to happen high up on the stage*. That was the dilemma I had. I'd have probably taken them but my wife is much more of a Potter fan and a bigger seat snob than me, so I don't want to be in trouble if I pick the wrong seats. *The obvious thing that springs to mind is the possibility of some flying e.g. a Quidditch scene (to rival Aladdin's carpet!) N.B. This is wild speculation. I know absolutely nothing about what happens on that stage. On which note, add me to the list of people who favour a spoiler thread!!

The thing I've noted about what I've been able to see of the Cursed Child seating is that there appear to be new additional seats around the edges that aren't on TheatreMonkey's plan of the Palace. I expect restricted visibility for some of the edge seats, particularly where the pillars are involved (I seem to recall that Palace pillars are approximately the size of Californian redwoods?), but we're going to have to wait at least a few more days before feedback starts trickling in.
May I suggest that feedback that is basically "I sat here and it was fine" or "I sat here and there were a few scenes where that was a problem" don't count as spoilers as long as they refer to general visibility and not specifically what is on the stage? And therefore talking about your seat and your view isn't going to contravene anyone's polite requests to keep the secrets?

I will try to report back on stalls seating on Saturday. Theatremonkey also appears to have plans to update for the current production.

See, my seats warned me: 'The view from this seat may be partially restricted by the low overhang of the Circle.' (exact wording) I couldn't for the life of me remember where the pillars are in the stalls, and no plan I found online was helping that. I agree with your feedback comments too.

If you could just pop to Row V seat 26 and 27 and let me know the view, that'd be great. If there are people sitting there at the time just ask them to stand up as you'd like to conduct an experiment. Apologies for the double post. Bad form.

After the advice on here I spent a little bit of my evening refreshing the website. I have now possibly got a ticket for the first previews but I'm not sure. I filled in all the bank stuff and pressed confirm but in my excitement (well I was chatting on the phone) I took too long to do the bank password bit. It then told me the transaction had failed but the money went out of my bank account and I have a booking confirmation email. It's too late to phone Nimax now so I'll have to do it tomorrow morning. What do people think my chances are of the ticket being mine? I've had a similar situation once before but I never had a booking confirmation email and didn't have a seat booked, any think there's any chance I've been luckier this time round?

My tickets are in row H in the balcony. Seeing the comments on here about the restricted leg room plus those on theatre monkey are making me start to panic a bit. At 6' 3" restricted legroom is my worst nightmare. Why can't the websites clearly advertise this, along with the restricted views?
I'm guessing that as I can't afford any more than £35 per part for me and my partner, that my best bet is the (ridiculously popular) Friday Forty. I can't subject myself to kneecap crushing pain for an entire day! One performance is bad enough, but two...

I like that the confirmation email says that it's the receipt. Id guess from what youve said its in the bag for you Thanks, I hope so.

Now that there is a spoiler thread and a non-spoiler thread, what is the definition of a "spoiler?"
Ordinarily, stuff that happens at the very beginning of a play, say the first ten minutes of Part 1, would not be considered a spoiler. That info is revealed in all reviews of all plays, typically, with the understanding that such information does NOT "spoil" a play. But I sense that definition does not apply in this thread, that ALL information about the plot is for the "spoiler" thread.
I won't be seeing this for three months, so I won't be stepping into the other thread for fear of hearing about how Part 1 develops, and especially for fear of reading about Part 2.
But is there any way to get out that preliminary set-up information, that typically wouldn't be classed as a spoiler, so that those who wish to know it can know it, and those who wish to avoid it, can avoid it.
Is there any chance that the very opening of Part 1 could be revealed, in this thread, in locked "spoiler" mode lol? I don't mean to complicate things, and I don't mind if the answer is no. Just asking, cos that other thread sounds like an absolute no-go area for those who haven't seen the play.

The director revealed what the very first scene of Part 1 is in an interview with the New York Times this weekend. Not talking about it in case anyone here considers that a spoiler, but I'm sure it's just a quick Google search away

If it happens on the stage, keep it to the spoiler thread. Keep this one for practical talk about legroom and visibility and security checks. It's just safer to keep all story, character, writing, design, etc discussion tucked away where people would have to go hinting for it rather than risk dismaying someone who wanted to go in as blind as possible. For a big event like this, where JK Rowling has explicitly asked people to keep the secrets, even the first 10 minutes or 5 minutes or 2.37 minutes should be hidden away. If someone has a very real need to know a couple of things but also a strong desire to stay out of the spoiler thread, then hey, we have a DM system here. I'm sure something can be worked out.

I just want to see it before the script is out. Didnt mind what seats as have decent ones for next year sometime I'm the opposite - I have no intention of seeing this until the script is out and I've read it. I know that defeats the purpose somewhat, or the element of surprise at least, but I was such a fan as a child that I can't bear to see the play if the story is rubbish! If it's good, of course, I'll be doing the Friday Forty incessantly until hopefully I get lucky...

Seems they've added new rows. No idea where row TT is but it now exists, at the back I suppose. Where have you seen this?

I've seen this too but can't find where they are located (If you book tier C pricing row TT is what you get- res. view for overhang, 40 pounds per performance) does anyone know when they are going to release the next batch of tickets? as in May 2017 onwards?
