Whereabouts were you sitting? I was in N9 - perfect view, though I wouldn't want to be any further back. I was in E8 - I would probably rather have been a couple of rows further back. You aren't too close there, and at least it's raked, but with a lot happening on different levels, there was a lot of looking up. I was in E10 so we literally had a person between us!

That person was my boyfriend! Ah cute! And I think we can both agree that mother behind with a 5ish looking year old were annoying at some points.

Oh my GOD yes. I turned around and glared a lot - I've already written about it in the Bad Behaviour thread.

I'm too nervous to ever actually say anything, glaring passive-aggressively is about as far as I'll go

I seem to have bought another ticket (only my third, so I'm lagging way behind some of you). I'm expecting to sob my way through this one - I found my second visit far more emotional than the first because I knew who was going to survive and who didn't make it.

I'm not gonna lie, most of the cast are so likeable I was hoping for a twist, maybe that the ship didn't sink in the end! Just because it was so heartbreaking!

I've just bought my third ticket too for Saturday matinee. I was there on Tuesday afternoon but just couldn't resist seeing it one more time.
Along with Sunset Boulevard it ranks as my favourite show of the year so far. The cast are absolutely stunning and the score is superb. I wish ENO would consider putting this on. It would sound fantastic with their huge orchestra!
Sail on Titanic!

So I caught this last night and this was pretty amazing.
I had caught it originally at Southwark Playhouse 2 years ago (could it have really been that long?).
The theatre looked pretty full to me. Song great singing and it was surprising to see how many of the original cast transferred across.
This is such a wonderful show, on every level; the costumes, lighting, sound and overall 'look' of the show.
It's also interesting that at no point do you ever see the ship, the fateful iceberg or the lifeboats.
I saw other board member Anniek there last night- one of her several visits. As I explained to her, it's interesting that from such a real life tragedy with such a massive loss of life that such a wonderful show can be born. And such a wonderful homage at the end to the victims.
Hopefully this will get a transfer to the West End.

Ahh. I was there last night too. I would have looked out for you if I had known. Also loved it. Agree everything about it was wonderful. Excellent cast, who gelled together perfectly.
And so nice to see a quality show at Charing Cross theatre too. I can't believe how well the show suited the theatre.

It was a last minute purchase, literally 5 mins before the show started. I agree, that it did suit the theatre.

The trouble with Ms Serra is that if you know nothing about her, then you won't always notice her immediately - but once you notice, you keep seeing her. If you are already a fan, then she's pretty much impossible NOT to watch. I think she has that very rare thing called "stage presence."
I also think she has that rare thing called "utter gorgeousness".
I agree. She is very pretty and very watchable. I've seen her in Parade, Titanic and Grand Hotel, all at the Southwark. My only thing with her (and I appreciate this just my opinion) is that she always looks like she's about to burst into tears.

Great final performance last night. I think I can say that the whole house all truly loved it and gave it a very deserved standing ovation
Could anyone give a breakdown of the orchestral arrangements ie which instruments. It sounded good. Please and thanks

It sounded good. Please and thanks Band is only keys, percussion, violin, viola, cello, double bass and a hell of a lot of work from the sound department and the orchestrator to make it sound so much bigger. No click tracks either.

Was there any speeches at curtain call? Were the cast emotional? So sad this is no longer in London but I wouldn't be surprised with the reviews and reaction if it had a future in some shape or form, ideally with this cast who are pretty much perfect all round!

cast were crying. No speeches unfortunately. Had hoped for a bigger curtain call with some nice words, and individual bows for everyone.. Very gutted it's ended. Been a long time since I had a production make such an impact on me. #postshowdepression now.

I'm getting a bit obsessed with the original cast recording. Does anyone think there's a future life for this production? I'd love to see it again.

Yep, serious plans in the works I've heard! Also visiting Wolverhampton and Manchester I think. Should be a couple more dates but it's only a limited tour.

will Southampton be the massive mayflower or the small nuffield i wonder. The mayflower has taken similar small shows before but you need to be sat close so it doesnt look lost. Plus more profit to be made than nuffield
