Having never sat upstairs at the donmar, what is the front row like? it looks quite high in comparison to the stage

The circle is very far forward and you are looking sharply down on the actors Also depending how tall you are the safety bar can block your view meaning you have to lean forward which is not fun for the people sitting in the row behind Thanks, Ill give it a miss then. I just wanted to change my tickets (which are 3rd row centre stalls) for another day, but the best they had was upstairs.. |

The first preview has been cancelled because technical rehearsals were delayed by the funeral... They say the box office will contact us in the next days to move us to different dates.

Can't wait for this, I absolutely loved it on Broadway and after Comet it was by far the best musical I saw in 2016/2017 season.
It is just a beautiful show!

They’ve added standing room tickets for the first few performances. I managed to get a cheeky last minute ticket for the first preview. Can’t wait!

First preview went completely smooth and finished at exactly 9:10pm as promised (there was an extra number with the band after that, though).

Sensational.
First preview and very few hitches (couple of tiny line things but otherwise spot on).
Stunning cast - Miri Mesika as Dina is mesmerising, with her 'Omar Sharif' flawless.
Gorgeous production, magical band (on stage and off).
Can't wait to see it again - my musical of the year so far.

Oh my, this was good. Every moment was just perfect. An adult musical that is not afraid to be poetic, thoughtful, subtle, smart and heartbreakingly beautiful. Such a rarity! I didn't know anything about it beyond the central premise, but I've been wanting to see it for ages as I'd just felt it'd be up my street, and it didn't disappoint. Completely mesmeric and the best musical I've seen in a long time. So often musicals can feel compromised or made by committee. Why can't more musicals be like this?!

Does Donmar Warehouse tend to extend successful productions or do they stick to the announced booking period? I really want to see The Band's Visit but cannot make it to London until 6 December  . |

I don't believe they extend as their programme is planned out well in advance but they occasionally transfer. |
