From what I've seen I don't think this revivals artwork is quite as good at capturing the show as the original west end one in the 90s.
That had an elegance to it, and highlighted the romance factor.
Not a fan of the revivals font, and as great as Charlie is, it doesn't show its a romantic shoe or could be a date night shoe.

I’m not sure exactly how they could change the advertising and reflect what the show is. They can’t have Charlie with his top off as it’s not a sexy show.. It’s an old fashioned MGM style musical comedy- and that’s what they reflect. I don’t like the font- but the image of Charlie and Carly is striking. What exactly are people wanting? Maybe the advertising should mention the word GERSHWIN! I remember it was very present in the marketing for the 1993 outing….The New Gershwin Musical Comedy Admittedly, it’s not new but to relegate Gershwin to such tiny font is, in my opinion, hiding something from its’ target audience. |

Seeing that Jack Wilcox will be going on as Bobby tonight. If anyone goes, I’m very curious to hear how he is. Oh wow! So both Charlie and Carly were off? Would like to see Jack do this I must say. He was excellent as Billy in Anything Goes. |

Has anyone stage doored this show? Wondering how long after it finishes does Charley Stemp come out? I know he takes his ice bath after.
I never stage door but I'd love to meet him but don't want to hang around for ages after the show.

Maybe less visible when filming when it's "officially" not allowed.
Mind you I get mixed up. Which is the nest to use when filming if you don't want the black edges?

Just watched it back on Sky. Sound matches up fine, but for me the direction lets it down. Too many shots with cameras whizzing about, and most of the tap dancing cut out their feet.
Awkward moment from Andi Peters in the interview when he referred to his co-host Josie Gibson as Josie D’Arby. He’s going back a bit there.

Haha, I’ve just watched it back too having recorded it this morning, and wondered if I’d misheard the Josie bit! Agree re. the filming, but as anyone who’s seen the show will vouch, there’s so much going on in that number that it’s hard to know which bit to look at when.
Great to see, and a nice chat at the end - Charlie’s absolutely a triple threat but lovely to see him so modest about his talents. My over-riding thought throughout though was ‘for goodness sake Andi don’t get too close’ as he sounded like he was struggling with a cold and we don’t want any of the cast to get sick.
Let’s hope it’s given CFY a decent plug and helped shift some more tickets, it’s a wonderful show that deserves to do well.

Charlie Stemp would usually appear in this number in Bela Zangler disguise rather than as Bobby, wouldn't he? Presumably he didn't for this appearance to save explanations to the TV audience as to why he was in disguise.
