Coming next, Line Of Duty: The Musical, Tiger King: The Musical and Naked Attraction: The Musical (be very scared if you're in the front row for that one).
Yeah, I'm going with Why? I'm all for new shows but not just turning random TV series into musicals for no reason.

There will be:
. A song about baking innuendos. . A song about Paul Hollywood's eyes. . Mel and Sue have a double-act song. . A dramatic end to Act 1 - the show moves to C4. . Lots of sets with bunting and gingerbread house walls. . Every winner has a song, like the kids in Willy Wonka.

Starring John Whaite , with a spectacular dancing dream sequence to close act one . Les Dennis is free since Fat Friends folded , to take the Matt Lucas role. But not Sherrie Hewson as Pru Leith, please !

A friend of ours was in a similar thingā¦āThe Bakewell Bake Offā so it isnāt even an original idea! I saw a Mischief Movie Night show set at the Great British Bake Off 4 years ago. As I've never watched the TV show & so didn't understand most of the allusions I think one improv show was quite enough for me without seeing a musical about it too. I bet the musical doesn't even have the inclusion of kung fu, which the improv show did!

Hot buns. Come and feel my hot buns.
I don't wanna have a soggy bottom. Please don't let my bottom be soggy.
I can't wait to fill that horn with cream. I hope it is stiff enough.
The opportunities for smutty lyrics are endless

If composers and lyricists took it to heart every time someone said āThatās a terrible idea for a show!ā we wouldāve missed out on some of the greatest musicals ever writtenā¦
Itās a really talented creative team-Iām betting they can make this work

But something already tells me this wonāt be one āof the greatest musicals ever writtenā. The greatest musicals are the ones that took risks, did something different, changed the form. Not those that stuck to safe, wide appeal, plotless material. West Side Story, Cats, Phantom, Miss Saigon, Rent. All mental on paper. Thereās already a fairly big musical about making cake (pie). Thisāll be a Prosecco huns and hen nights affair.

All Iām saying is that based on their previous work Iām pretty optimistic. Adrian Mole was a really lovely showā¦

Apparently Rebecca Lock has been involved in the workshop process of this and says that it is really strong. It is promising when actors think the material is good so it should give us some hope.

Booked first preview for this off the back of the cast announcement. Intriguing concept and loved Rosemary Ashe in Adrian Mole.

Wow. Given it was announced on 1st April makes me wonder if the cast is an April fools joke! Seriously impressive.

Same here when I saw JOJ was the lead and noticed the date. Quite a cast then.
