This pops up in the usual places that we aren't allowed to talk about quite frequently (Mon-Wed this week were available) so I'd say likely... I'm surprised it extended until the end of August but perhaps I assume that the Bridge will go back to their usual programming after it closes.

I just got an offer from my Marks and Spencers loyalty card for 20% off tickets for this. Valid between 1st Jan and 29th February but not week commencing 12th February and only Monday to Thursday. Tickets must be booked by 28th December. I had no idea that M&S Sparks did theatre offers - it was just there when I opened the M&S app. Might be worth keeping an eye on - especially as signing up for a loyalty card costs nothing (at least if you don't count them having access to your data).

I've just looked at my Sparks account and also have the offer. As you say don't think they have done a theatre offer before.

They have done theatre offers before but only general discounts rather than specific shows.

Finally got around to seeing this yesterday. Great cast all around, Marisha and Celinde really are fabulous!
I was there with my mother and had to leave the standing pit during Act 1 as she started to feel faint. Turns out she wasn’t the only one and there were at least a few others who had the same, a couple of whom were sick in the toilets. Not sure of the others but we put it down to the heat with my mother. The staff at the Bridge theatre were excellent in dealing with this, we were really impressed. Efficient in helping us out discreetly, and offering drinks to those who needed to sit down. Can’t thank them enough. It did make me wonder if this is a reasonably common occurrence for them.
Unfortunately we had another incident in Act 2, with the show coming to a stop near the end of Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat. As we were evacuated from the pit we noticed a cast member laying on the floor on their back, I assume had fallen from the stage platform. The rest of the show was subsequently cancelled. I really hope the cast member is OK and makes a quick recovery, it would have been a fall from quite some height at that part of the show.
Will need to make a return visit to hopefully experience the show incident free!

I know Daniel Mays is in this until 24th February - am I right in thinking that Marisha is also leaving at the same time? Any ideas who the next cast might be/ when there might be an announcement?

Just got out of the Bridge after another exhilarating night of Guys and Dolls magic. This is such a wonderful production.
All of the principles were on this evening and I’d be interested to know who, if any, will be leaving on 24th Feb.

How are the floor crowds doing lately? Hoping to attend in the next couple of weeks, preferably a quiet floor again.

It was busy the night I went, albeit this was last week when all theatres were busy. Even so, there was still a fair bit of space to move around if people needed a quieter area of the floor.

The cast are excellent but I really thought the immersive approach here didn't work. From JC where it integrated into the actual play to Midsummers where it didn't get in the way to this I can't help feeling we're now in flogging a dead horse territory. Here to me it got I the way.

£15 standing tickets on TodayTix.
Annoying as I bought some in another deal for £30 yesterday. 😭

I want to take my daughter to this with the cheap standing tickets but she isn't 12 until April, does anyone know if they are likely to quibble the age restriction or let it go as she's mature and only a few months off.

I have no experience but how do they ID young people anyway? If she looks 12 or older you're going to get away with it.

They will probably trust you if say she's 12. How tall is she though? The raised areas where the action takes place go quite high, and I presume she'll need to stand at the front, rather than being blocked by standing behind other people.

My youngest is 12 and we were asked to confirm age verbally. Bridge staff seem pretty relaxed about it. However... what you need to watch out for is the selfish behaviour of 'some' of the adults in the standing area. Having secured a decent spot for my youngest at the beginning, just as the show started and platforms started to rise and the NYPD martials started doing their thing, some adults who had stood on one of the rising platforms muscled in front of my daughter knowing full well they were blocking her view. After that, I was basically her bouncer for the performance, strategically placing myself behind her and shielding her. The audience is largely like a shoal of people who ebb and flow with the show but there are the odd selfish b**tards who literally couldn't care less about anybody else's enjoyment and hog the spots closest to the action.

Big cast change from what I understand - think we should expect a casting announcement after the 22nd Jan (there's a LOT being announced next week so any announcements being added now will get lost in the sea of what's to come)
