Silky seems to only do well when she is shoving food in her mouth (mini challenge) or playing a sassy black girl (snatch game) She has done them both a lot so far and Neither require a huge amount of talent. She even repeated a joke in her 2 snatch game characters. She can go soon please. Nina should have won the Snatch game. You forgot ‘painting to look like Oprah Winfrey. It was amazing the first time. But now I realise it’s just how she does her face. |

I know we only have a limited understanding of US pop culture - but I would love a Snatch Game that didn't have quite so many 'characters' drawn from US reality shows. It makes is far tougher on the international audience when you have to google half the people being depicted and come away none the wiser for your efforts.
You have be brilliant to pull it off (Jinx, Bendela) - and those brilliant players are few and far between

I'm also tired of Michelle singling out Vanjie for wearing the same type of look, when Silky and Plastique do the exact same thing week after week.

I quite enjoyed tonight's episode - but most of them really can't read.
Main challenge - I don't think the bottom three were quite right. Certainly 2 of them certainly deserved to be there - but I would have swapped Yvie for Shuga as Yvie was utterly lost in her scene.
Runway looks - Nina was my favourite - very Bowery. Shuga and Brooke were interesting. Didn't like Akeria - but clearly the judges did
I would have made both of the lip sync performers sashay - they don't have anything to offer. Indeed, I nodded off during the lip sync - and missed the brief trail for next week!
So wrong winner - I would have given it to Brooke overall.

Great concept for the maxi challenge but i dont think ANYone came out of that well, Yvie being the absolute worst.

I feel like they are trying to keep it open to maintain interest. That’s the only I can see for Brook Lynn not winning this week and the edge that would give her overall. This is a boring season.
I thought most of the episode was unwatchable. Reading is not fundamental for these queens and 75% of the maxi-challenge was unwatchable. Luckily it was saved by some interesting runway looks (although was I alone in never having heard of a facekini before?) Shuga seems to have saved her best drag until now, I’m glad she wasn’t booted, although I figure she’ll go soon. Nina West’s proportions were beautiful this week and she didn’t deserve safe. I would have liked to see a critique and some positive feedback for her.
Silky perplexes me. She’s a legend in her own lunchbox. I’m over it. And the emnity with Yvie is just boring now. Do we think their lipsynch will be next week, or the week after?

For me, Nina is one of the most consistent queens this season, but Ru and the producers seem to be ignoring what she brings every week. Her runway this week was gorgeous and her performance was great too.
Once again Silky went for sassy black woman and fried chicken. Being a 1 trick pony isn't talent and her belief that she doesn't need to do much will not take her to the top. Thankfully.

I do love Silky and Vanjie for the pure entertainment they bring outside of the challenges. Hoping Nina West joins them in the Top 3. I’m probably completely wrong though 🤣

At the moment, the Top 3 for me are Brooke Lynn, Akeria and either Yvie/Nina. Silky plays the exact same character every single week and I don't understand why Ru loves it so much. She is talented which I wont deny, but there's so little versatility and her personality is grating.

Well, well, well - that was 2 very different magic shows
One rehearsed and one car crash
Ru's wig line is very poor this week!
Right winner - about time she got a chance to shine
Wrong bottom 2 - I would have put all 4 of the losing team in, they were all weak, weak, weak
Editing of the lipsync was very unbalanced.
And wrong result in the end. She didn't deserve yet another chance.

I'm not sure they should be having a go at Vanjie for being on one level and the same character all the time though when that is exactly what Silky does and they lap it up.

They are trying to make Vanjie into something that she isn't capable of delivering. She achieved fame for walking backwards saying her name. People have wanted her to be a lot more than that - and it is clear that she isn't. She can't paint well. She can't dress that well. She is difficult to understand (part of which is not her fault - but she could work on it)
Silky is a marmite personality - no doubt about it - but she is easier to engage with than Vanjie and thus can get away with a lot more.

This episode has revitalised me for this season. I’d pay to watch Nina, Shuga and Brooklyn’s magic show. I thought it was the most polished challenge result I can remember seeing.
I got a lot from Vanjie’s lipsynch, it felt very real and modern, I was surprised she could turn that depth of emotion out. Shuga looked very
old school by comparison. I’m not sure I thought it was exactly fair she was in the bottom two, given how much better that group was. Two from Black Magic should have lipsynched. Silkie seems to have some plot amour that’s stopping her from being in the bottom two and it makes no sense to me because she keeps going on (and on and on and on) about how she’ll lipsynch every week if she has to.

Love Nina, seems like a genuinely lovely person. Unlike Brooke who I love but who seems like he’d stab you in the back at the first opportunity

I don't think we can judge the lipsync fairly on what we were shown. The edit massively favoured Vanjie - so it was hard to see what Shuga was doing.
Yes, Shuga is more old-school. But Vanjie has shown zero progression. She is just a backwards-walker - there is nothing else there.

I like the phrasing of ‘we’ve seen all she can do now.’ I am glad Shuga made it this far because she hit her stride after about episode three, and I definitely feel like I saw more from her. Vanjie’s lipsynch has kept her in it for me. But man, I do wish Brooke would help her paint better. I think she’s getting worse as the season progresses. If she doesn’t pull something out of the hat next week... Maybe I have been too easily lead by the edit of next week’s preview, but I have a feeling Silkie may struggle to make up someone else. |

The only one I expect to shine is Brooke - simply because she is the one who has shown she can make great outfits of those left in.

Shame about Shuga.
Was rooting for Shuga and Nina, they seem like genuine and kind people. Although I know this is a talent contest, and being genuine or kind is not enough reason to win!
The lip sync was a bit boring. We've seen enough of the both of them. I don't think Vanjie did a better job, Ru probably just used this as a way to get rid of Shuga as she was never gonna win anyway. Vanjie will make for better TV so she can stay a bit longer

Yes a dull lip sync, a shame for Shuga but I didn’t really mind which of the two went: Vanjie is all one note...ok, that note is fingernails down a chalk board, but I also like him a lot.
I was SO chuffed for Nina: he’s always been good but have been wanting him to fully shine. And he did this time andas stole the show. Could have watched him for ages! And - a big tick in my book - he comes across as a lovely person.

Shuga seemed nice but she was unremarkable. That bottom two was a fix though.
