I wonder who will replace Scott Paige? Neil is also doing panto in Hull. Guess there will be a few new cast members.

I went tonight knowing nothing about this show. I really enjoyed it, pretty funny and great tunes. Unfortunately the woman next to me clearly hated it. It was only 5-10 minutes in an she was saying stuff to her husband like "Good Lord" and I even heard him telling her the name of the show, did she not know what she was going to see? She promptly fell asleep for the rest of the first act. I'm surprised she stayed for the second and even stayed awake!
I was sitting in the cheap side seats but didn't feel I missed anything apart from the projections on the back wall. The spotlights nearly melted my face off though.

Ooh excellent I don’t have to scramble for one more fix at The Other Palace.
I love it. And I love that a new British musical is getting a West End Transfer. Go Eugenius!!

Good for them. Rob Houchen has a dream of a voice and Ben Adams is a little hottie. J'approve.

Ah damn the issue being any matinees don't leave way to make an evening show really, as if the running time is 2h 20m, you have 10 minutes to run to a nearby theatre for a 7:30 start!

I guess you could catch Heathers or Mamma Mia! with their 7:45pm start!! Yeah, it’s tith but not totally undoable. Interesting they have evening shows starting just 40 mins after the matinee is due to finish!

This is the same issue for Heathers, why don't they do 4 show weekends instead of midweek matinees at all? It would work out much better for them. A 5pm friday matinee hardly solves any of the issues there really.
But anyway, good for them. It's lovely to see the success of these new British shows at the moment.

And this officially makes Eugenius Olivier eligable now! Indeed, what do you think they could get a nomination in? I thought lighting was particularly good in this show. Performance wise i'd probably go for Dan Buckley having the best chance of a nod as supporting actor. Of course then the music.

I have yet to see it, but I don't have to rush and I'm sure there will be discounts so that'll sort me out. But I've a feeling this and Heathers will have the same fate and only get one nomination at a push. I'd love to see Eugenius get a musical nom though, just for the whole British musical factor.

Forgive my ignorance but (given that this show has had various incarnations) if i'm listening to the cast recordings am I listening to all of the songs being performed in this current production, or am I listening to the odd song here and that that may have been cut/replaced? Thanks The song ‘Super Hot Lady’ has now been replaced by one called ‘Hands Up.’ They’re both still available online.

Fantastic news for the Eugenius team - I hope they refresh the costumes for the transfer. I couldn’t work out whether they were deliberately - dare I say - cheap looking and worn out or not.

I have a 7:30 on Friday (Everybodys Talking About Jamie) so I won;t be able to do the 5pm Eugenious because theres not way I'll make the 7:30 curtain. And there are no earlier matinees so I won't be able to see this sadly. Gutted

5pm matinees actually suit me very well. I can choose my work hours within a core set and can easily finish at 4pm to gander over to a theatre, then still be back home at a respectable hour.

I like the idea of a 5pm if it's ny evening show. I actually think if you can work out a decent matinee that you can fit in, one that's under two and a half, you could get to this in the eve. Matilda would be a shout with their 2pm matinees!
