I suspect that's exactly right. Limited 14 weeks. High quality production. Bare basics of promo at this stage. Trust the algorithm and watch those prices fly.

Mmmmmmmm they can ask whatever price they want, however it is nom good if you cannot sell tickets. These high prices are good, as it will put people off buying, so better chance for discounting. My disappointment though is the pre-covid The Pillowman seems cancelled, which I was looking forward to. I've booked for this as the last time I saw it was with Zoe Wanamaker at the Comedy in 1996 so it's due another airing for me. That said, I am pretty disappointed to see no sign of The Doctor and The Pillowman at this theatre. |

It seems a large chunk of tickets have been kept off sale, as the row ends appear to be missing across the run. Probably until they work out sight lines? I much prefer sitting in the aisle so will hold off until I see one of them back on sale. Yes, but central Stalls, Rows G-J also seem to be off sale throughout the run, which seems strange for those seats. I wonder why? |

I wonder at what point the West End prices itself out of business and theatre sadly becomes prohibitive and elitist? There are three things announced of late I'd have ordinarily booked for but have passed on them all. I'm sure producers don't care much about me but I wonder how many other theatregoers are feeling the same and stepping back. It's a real shame.

Is this any different from Glengarry Glen Rose with Christian Slater or Speed the Plow with Lindsay Lohan? In that ATG get a big name and hike the prices up, for it only not to sell, I didn’t pay much for both those tickets and remember getting day tickets for them both. Oddly when the great Ian McKellen played King Lear in the same Duke of York, they only charged £85, it sold out the day tickets went on sale, they could’ve charged a lot more for that one.
All what happens is people look at the price, think ouch I’m not paying that and don’t come back, they don’t associate that ticket prices might drop, they know nothing of dynamic pricing, all they know is a pair of tickets cost them £300, where if the price was reasonable they might make a purchase.
Not many people can afford £300 and the add ons for a night out.

Any tips for best views around the £40-50 mark? I'm waiting in the hope that they price the more restricted side seats in the front stalls (currently not on sale) at around those prices, or maybe the same as the £55 rear stalls. Fingers crossed.  |

TodayTix have just announced an, um, exclusive pre-sale. Prices, bands etc seem exactly the same. No mention of Rush tickets anywhere in the app as of yet.
