Has anyone heard anything about when the set list might change - and if they will publicise it in advance? I really do want to see it, including the more obscure songs which I’m guessing may be replaced, but as an out-of-towner it keeps getting pushed down my list for limited runs/one-offs. No word at all. But reading between the lines of the fan Q & A that the producers did, I would say they are most likely to add or change the setlist if/when the audience numbers drop and they need to create a new buzz/ticket demand stimulus. It also sounded like it was not as easy as just "slotting in" a couple of new performances. From what I know of working in live events, I would imagine that the show would have to go dark for a few days at least to re-rehearse. All the new sound and lighting cues to ensure it looks as seamless as "V.1") of the show.

Another reflection of mine. The audience was much more subdued when I went on a Saturday afternoon (which incidentally is the most expensive performance time of the week) compared with when I went to a Thursday evening show last June.

Thats interesting as both times I have seen the show have been Saturday afternoons and the atmosphere was amazing and some of the best audiences I have encountered. But the first visit was in the week it opened and 2nd visit not long after so could be that on these occasions the audience was mainly die hard ABBA fans.

If they dropped that I would have no desire to return, as you could get similar from any Abba tribute band. (not ‘every’ Abba tribute…the best I ever saw opened their set with The Visitors and this was fifteen years ago!). I’d love a couple of Voulez Vous album tracks adding and skip Eagle & Does Your Mother Know.

Perhaps that's it - I initially it two weeks after it opened and the audience were up for it right from the get go. I was the only one dancing from the start when I went in January.

Interesting, but not especially entertaining or engaging to the audience at large. I really think Hole In Your Soul, Eagle and When All Is Said And Done could be dropped - if they insist on replacing rather than just adding songs.

Keep Eagle, ditch Dancing Queen, add Head over Heels.

Keep Eagle, ditch Dancing Queen, add Head over Heels. Gurl... There is more chance of the Abbatars dying than there is of Dancing Queen ever being dropped. They could drop ALL of the Scandinavian video songs and no one would bat an eyelid. Though I do love Eagle, I'd prefer them just performing it. When All is Said and Done and the 2 songs from Voyage could go to without anyone caring. I'm not fussed on either of the 2 opening songs, but they do work incredibly well and help bring you into the 'world' they've created. I also think Rock Me would work better than Does Your Mother Know, but I realise that was not a single anywhere outside of Oz so maybe a lot of people don't know it.

Many facts in here! Although I will say that all my casual ABBA fans that went have pointed out how much they liked "The Visitors" and want to seek out the song now. So that's a WIN!
If Dancing Queen was dropped, there would be MUTINY! Although I really think they could have added an extra frisson to it by surprising everyone and reinstating the first half of verse 2!!

Thinking of getting some more tickets as a present, I noticed the website says Dance Floor seats available from £53.95. How do you find these? I've checked several dates/times throughout the run and I can find nothing in that area for less than £70.

I think The Visitors works really well and it should stay. I also love Hole in your Soul but I only really know it from Abba The Movie when it was just a segment of the 'musical' and I doubt anyone who isn't a super fan knows it well or would miss it. Fun fact : Dancing Queen and Kylie's Dancing are probably the only 2 songs with Dancing in the title that are both almost impossible to dance to, because they are both too slow lol

I totally agree though, the sound of this concert is so sanitized already, if they played the best known songs only, it would be hard to differentiate it from an ABBA tribute. But who knows, if they want to please audiences beyond the die hard abba fans...

Dancing Queen is 101 BPM, and the best I can manage is to sway to that. To actually dance and feel like you're dancing, I need a minimum of 115, and preferably 132 to 150, although I'm not averse to some happy hardcore 180 stuff, but I'd need a sit-down after that these days!

Yes it's definitely a 'swayer', though Swaying Queen doesn't really have the same ring to it I guess...

Yes I love Eagle as well which makes the fact it is currently Swedish Anime highly frustrating as now it's relegated to a toilet break for me.

I'm aiming to see this soon, but a bit wary of going on my own and dancing! Don't be. The atmosphere both times I went was amazing and you will just get caught up in the whole experience. I ended up chatting to loads of people. It's a very friendly place. Mind you my dancing was no. Existent, more like waving my hands in the air and singing at the top of my voice.

I'm aiming to see this soon, but a bit wary of going on my own and dancing! I went on my own on the dance floor and had a brilliant time singing and dancing to the songs. I didn't feel out of place being a solo visitor and I'm pretty sure that there are many solo visitors to the venue. as well as groups. One piece of advice I would offer is aim to get near the middle / near the back. of the dance floor. I was offered this info from venue staff and it worked out great. It's definitely worth queuing early to get a decent spot.

I've just had an email saying that they have added an extra concert date on February 14th, in case that is of interest to anyone not on the mailing list.

Thanks all, went yesterday and loved it.
It was great being on the dancefloor, and if people were chatting away I could just move!

How have crowds been recently? Had a great time in May with a young/diverse audience who were completely up for it - but a bit cautious about reports of subdued audiences.
Must admit that every time I go past Pudding Mill Lane on DLR around showtime it looks like huge groups out for Sandra/Tracey's 60th with bottles of Kylie Prosecco in tow...
