Come on people! 23 hours and not one of you is interested in a new show?
Bloody Alice Fearn is in it! Show some respect!

Alice and Oliver are great but it is only a workshop, it's hard to get too excited about something we may never see. Also it's probably going to need a new title if it's going to be taken seriously.

Haha yes though it does instantly tell the punter what it’s about. Peter Pan the Prequel maybe?!
I know it’s only workshops but still, isn’t it good to have new writing?’

I know it’s only workshops but still, isn’t it good to have new writing?’ It is, but I agree there's only so much excitement you can have for a workshop that's not going to be accessible to you. I read the story yesterday, saw it was a workshop with industry showing, and thought nothing else of it. Lots of these happen and then never see the light of day again.

It's a new musical based on a very recognisable character/property though, which is why the news story got a bit more traction than your average "new writing" coverage.
Should be interesting, but I wonder what the response from Disney/Great Ormond Street will be if it goes further. Especially as Disney have their own Tinker Bell franchise.

It is odd that an industry reading is getting so much press, all the actors posted that image of "something is coming" and then... its something we won't see? A very odd false hype announcement I felt.

Does that press copy honestly boast about the number of Instagram likes...?! Society really is spiralling into the abyss, isn't it?

Nothing about this is interesting. Nothing about a new musical being workshopped with good, known cast members, about a well-known property, during an industry-crippling pandemic, is interesting to members of a forum specifically made for those interested in theatre? My sincerest of apologies.

My sincerest of apologies. Oh I of course don’t mean it’s not of interest to anyone, just to me. Yes lovely that new work is being created and some work is generated for the actors.

I wonder what the response from Disney/Great Ormond Street will be if it goes further. Especially as Disney have their own Tinker Bell franchise. I don't know how much Disney are still pushing the fairies. The last film was in 2015 and Disneytoon Studios has been shut down. Not that this means they'll let anything that even hints at similarity with their franchise go without comment, of course. The problem is that Disney's take on Tinker Bell is the only one most people know.
