Im thinking of a Ray Davies Musical.... called maybe... Victoria... set in Victorian London something with all the energy of Oliver Twist... the musical beginning with Rays song.... Victoria ... and maybe ending with that song too.
A musical set in 3 acts drawing on all of Rays massive back catalogue of songs.... certainly Waterloo Sunset should be in there ..... maybe some of his songs with new lyrics written by Ray to fit into the Victorian London.... Eastend wicked underworld story .....
A mega musical with a huge cast of characters singing Rays amazing songs..... something we need to bring us out of this covid nightmare and give the Westend a hit Musical for years to come....
Hope Ray is up for it.... it could be Rays Golden Era ....... at the end of his wonderful career..... Lets do it !

He's a fantastic songwriter, but quite distrustful of others getting involved with his works and risking getting ripped off. There was a musical called 'Come Dancing' at Theatre Royal Stratford East inspired by aspects of his upbringing, and then 'Sunny Afternoon: The Kinks Musical' was a hit winning the Olivier Award in 2015 for 'Best New Musical'. Some info on 2008's 'Come Dancing' in which Ray Davies also performed. A revival would be welcome. www.britishtheatreguide.info/reviews/comedancing-rev
