From (most of) the creative team behind "Grey Gardens", Far From Heaven is based on Todd Haynes' 2002 movie with Julianne Moore. With Scarlett Strallen, Ako Mitchell and the musical direction by Alex Parker.

I am very tempted to go.
(If I remember correctly) I've seen the film with Julieane Moore. Denise Quaide played her husband.
It's a small space-the stage and the seating area.
I saw High Fidelity there.

Surprised they didn't do this as a double bill with Closer to Heaven

As someone who thinks that the film is a modern masterpiece, both as an homage to the movies of the 1950s but also on its own terms, I found the musical, which I saw in New York in 2013, with Kelli O'Hara and Stephen Pasquale in the leading roles rather less convincing, though not without merit. It would be interesting to see how much work has been done since then, but I'm not sure that a 45 minute workshop will give many clues, though I'll probably watch one of the streamed versions as I think it's definitely worth revisiting (though perhaps not at the Turbine on a very rainy night).
