Yes, I'm going in a couple of weeks. A little daunted by the duration (2h45m with two intervals) but on the other hand Ralph made the 3+ hours of Man and Superman just fly by so I have high hopes...

TWO HOURS AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES? Goddamnit, I booked an evening show thinking the running time wouldn't be much different to the Almeida's 105 minute version. At least they'll be a little way into the run by the time I go, so any glaring delays in previews should have been ironed out by then.

Hi Baemax!
Did you see "The Crucible" in 2014? That was three and a half hours, AFTER they'd got the running time down in the previews! I think we'll be okay with this one.

I had friends who went to that in previews! The very next opportunity I had, I marched down to the box office and insisted they switch my ticket for a matinee.

I'm going next week, Wednesday evening. We got a pair of (I think) really bad £10 tix. But I've never seen this play so was curious.

Not going until the middle of March, got a £21 balcony seat well before the £10 ones went on sale. With regards to the running time, this'll be a breeze compared to the running time of Man and Superman (although that didn't drag), and will still leave plenty of time for a drink or two in one of the pubs around Waterloo before I get the train home (although they'll probably all be packed, I'm going on a Friday night.)

Loved it! Fabulous performances and set, didn't feel like a preview apart from the technical hitch before the third act which held proceedings up a bit. Running a bit long anyway, but it didn't feel long. I actually ended up liking having two intervals, despite gripping about them beforehand.

Great performances in this...everyone very well cast and lovely set and direction. Fiennes majestic - he changes from commanding to vunerable in an instant and his comic timing is a gift. From X6 in the balcony I was completely mesmerised by him. I think the Old Vic have a hit on thier hands! On a practical note wear layers....the theatre got quite hot despite them pumping cold air on to us in the balcony!
Splendid night out!

Seconding that. I'm not sure I would have liked the play half as much with any lesser actor in the role, but Fiennes was mesmerising. And Sarah Snook, who I've never heard of before, more than held her own as Hilde, a very vivid, physical performance. Wasn't so sure about the sound or music, though. It felt a little random, so much so that the first time we heard music I though it was either a phone or noise outside!

Point noted, Latecomer; thanks! I remember feeling boiled half to death in the dress circle at the Rob Brydon play. (Though I was in the stalls for The Hairy Ape and the temperature felt fine there, oddly enough.)

What was the running time? Any dogs? We had a technical delay before the 3rd act started a bit late, so hard to tell...we were finished at 10.40pm, published running time 2hrs 45mins Not a dog in sight. There is a swing.....

I ordered tickets and have a confirmation email - but the tickets never arrived in the post. I wonder how much of a pain this is going to be....
Sad to hear about the lack of dogs.

I'd estimate that without the technical hitch, it would have been about 15 mins longer than advertised.
