They really aren't giving anything away are they. Annoying but also damm clever. I'm even tempted not to read any comments tomorrow from board members so everything is a complete surprise for me tomorrow night. |

Arrive early. If coming in the next few days while they work out the kinks, took about thirty minutes to get in ( thank Jebus I’m anal and always arrive early! ) it feels like entering a private club. Stalls ticket holders enter via the basement, circle via a side door.

I’m not going until next year so (hopefully) academic by then, but out of interest, I’ve just had covid, and am advised NOT to do another test for 90 days as there is a risk it will show false positive. I wonder what the rules say in those circumstances?

They should do a Madonna and make everyone lock their phones away

In almost every other circumstance proof of recent recovery is seen as equivalent to testing negative. |

ATGs website actually says if you can't prove a negative result you 'may' not be admitted |

You give every ticket holder a metallic type bag (you can't see or film through it) which you seal up as you go in. You keep your phone on you, but can't use it. Of course there will always be people who will try and work round it, but it definitely works. |

Managed to grab a £25 ticket at 18:50 and was very happy with my seat in the second row of the upper circle. They did a fantastic job at changing that area to improve the views. The person in the row in front of you could be leaning forwards and you would still have a complete view of the stage if you’re sitting straight - if that makes sense. Not a lot of legroom, though. They certainly didn’t enforce mask wearing - most people were not wearing a mask, including the lady next to me who wouldn’t stop coughing. Somebody behind me in the queue didn’t seem to have a covid test and was sent to the box office, I believe. I also saw quite a few people showing the actual device of their test as proof.
Regarding the production, it’s really better if you go in not knowing much. Some moments were truly beautiful, and some performances are better than others. It’s one of those rare occasions where I preferred the second act - I found the musical numbers more creative and captivating there. The Cabaret number really was a standout. I can’t wait to see it again!

Also Cabaret is one of the hardest iconic musical films to find a decent copy to watch. I have two DVD versions both kf which put the film in a horrible window box format with bars on all four sides - both of them are 4:3 letterbox versions which just looks awful. I can’t find a real widescreen version ( it was made 1.85.1 so should have virtually no black bars on a widescreen Tv) in the UK and the Blu-ray was only released in the USA. And it’s not on any streaming platforms in the UK as far as I can see.
