No doubt interacting interfering with the audience. Hideous. Let me eat my scampi in peace. This has really put me off getting tickets, more so than any flow tests or covid precautions. I hate any sort of interaction, I want to see stuff happen on stage not have someone try and get me involved

Just think that if no Prologue existed then tickets would be much cheaper .. Yeah right.

Eddie Redmayne said on Graham Norton that there was no audience participation. Anyway let's wait and see, as no one has seen the show yet so none of us know how it is going to be.

Oh this sounds truly hideous! Who wants to be sat in a theatre for longer than necessary? I’ll turn up 2 minutes before curtain up

Perhaps they could introduce lateral flow testing as pasty of the pre show entertainment?

Perhaps they could introduce lateral flow testing as pasty of the pre show entertainment? Pasty? I'm all for a free pasty.

A pasty AND a lateral flow test as the pre show is probably going to be better than the actual show.

This is all beginning to sound terribly pretentious and, frankly, up itself!

I know this is a new and different production but I would much prefer the pre-show element from the Sam Mendes production: atmosphere created with the low lighting and drinks and nibbles served at tables by costumed waiters/ushers. It sounds like this might be a bit annoying.

Literally going to be my response @tom89 ! I can't wait for the first preview - sounds really exciting! Absolutely. I love a good spectacle personally, and it looks and sounds so far to me like a sophisticated, high end production. I’m looking forward to seeing what they pull out of the bag for this one (other than a pineapple).

Yes, count me in the positive camp too. This sounds like it has the potential to be something really special. Of course, it could also be a complete disaster. But it's ambitious and is the antithesis of the one- and two-person shows that many theatres have been putting on (for entirely valid economic reasons). Yes, it's expensive and that's unfortunate but it looks like we'll see what the money has been spent on (unlike, e.g. Cock). I will fully accept the error of my ways if I go and have wasted my money, but I think it's great that someone is trying something bold and lavish.

This really sounds like it's going to be an "event" rather than a bog standard revival of a musical. I'm really looking forward to it and going to have to dig out some appropriate attire for the evening. We are going to The Lane for one of those posh sausage rolls and an ice cream sandwich before and might even splash out on a glass of bubbles at the show.

Given that the pre-show company lists the instrument's they play, it sounds more like the KitKat Club orchestra than anything else. 'Even the orchestra is beautiful!' And they will most likely be in the stalls and specifically interacting at the tables at the front and i would say that most of the people who wanted to be upfront and 'in the Kitkat Club' want to be part of the show. And if you didnt, why did you book those tables??

Has anyone confirmed the pasties yet? Wasn’t super interested til pastry was mentioned but Jessie Buckley & a pasty might be enough.

Eddie and Jessie were talking about the show on the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show this morning. It was interesting to listen to. Eddie said due to the way it's all laid out there is "not a bad seat in the house".

Ha ha no Ginsters on the menu
This is the choice :
Main Course Selection Meat (Wood roasted Goosenargh chicken, Halberstadt corn and white bean salad) - contains tree nuts & soya
Veg (Salsify, Halberstadt corn and white bean salad) - contains soya & sulphites
This is the only choice given , so no idea if there is a starter or dessert !
