That’s a pretty far fetched rumour.- not a chance of 2 massive MT stars this far into a run.
They are looking for established TV ‘stars’ for the next 2 runs. Not established MT stars.
The Eastenders female one is apparently “95% signed”. Not sure who? As long as it’s not Dot Cotton I guess!
It’s probably now going to be (my opinion based on some rumours from in house- Bobby Brazier and Shona McCarty.
Would certainly attract a big ticket sale. McCarty has the credentials and Brazier certainly has the dance poise (if unknown singing - although the singing here is not the priority)

As long as it’s not Dot Cotton I guess! I should hope not considering June Brown is dead. Bobby Brazier is so far removed from the pedigree of talent this show attracts. I can’t for a second consider it’s real.

I've heard from a reliable source it's Billy. Marisha is the rumour I've heard too.

For a show for which casting has been famously pretty difficult to guess (barring Jake and Rebecca, but there were many hints beforehand, and even then not this far in advance of cast change), a lot of people seem to suddenly be hearing a lot. Whatever it is, I am so against the idea of Billy Porter being in this. The cast changes work because none of them make it all about themselves, which is not going to be the case with him.

Billy Porter wouldn’t couldn’t ever do Cabaret!

I’ve heard rumours that Billy Porter is in talks to do the jungle next month so going straight into the West End off the back of that wouldn’t shock me.
(I don’t think he’ll do the jungle but passing on)

I could be wrong about Billy and Marisha but i heard it from a very reliable source. Who knows...
Also, Billy was in Pose so not just a MT star...

I'm glad I didn't listen to the negativity on here about Layton when he was cast as the Emcee and went to see him anyway as I thought he was great in the role no idea what Billy or Marisha are going to be like but am happy to give them a chance.

Yeah, I am completely unaware of the Layton hate? He was Emcee for the single time I've seen this show, and though I can't say I was blown away, thought he was decent!

Most of the bad press for him was when he was in Jamie. I saw him in that and he was awful. Many agreed.

I loved Layton in Jamie and Cabaret. And if people are declaring Layton, Marisha, Billy, all the Cliffs to be "awful", then I am apparently living in a (very fabulous) parallel universe where I'm only seeing black musical theatre excellence right here.
