I'd say ALW is the starriest they've netted since the original pair. Sex Education is one of the biggest shows on television this decade Err, there is only ONE ALW! Best stick with her name in future to avoid confusion.   What confusion? Surely they do mean Andrew Lloyd Webber for this recast. After his Beryl Waddle Brown for the publicity of 'Daisy Pulls It Off' I look forward to his interpretation of Sally Bowles with great interest.  Lloyd Webber with 'Two Ladies' |

Emily Benjamin will be playing Sally and Matthew Gent will be playing Emcee from 30th January to 11th February. The new cast then start on 13th February.

I haven't seen Sex Education but I saw the screening of Uncle Vanya and I thought Aimee Lou Wood was stunning as Sonya. I think she's a great choice for Sally.

OH I LOVE AIMEE LOU WOOD. Saw her in Downstate and of course, love her in Sex Ed. I wasn't going to return to Cabaret but after seeing it in previews (Jessie Buckey/Eddie Redmayne) THIS is enticing me.

I've never seen her on stage, but I really want to.
I'm whatever generation is in their mid-40s, and I'm a very keen theatre goer

Generation X !! = we're generally the "don't give a f*ck generation" (ALTHOUGH have helicopter parenting tendencies! possibly a reaction to how we we're brought up...)

Crossing fingers Aimee does Wednesday matinees - I’ve bought table seats for my sister’s birthday and gambled on early March for post-cast change and now looking like the best big sister ever for that gift haha. I saw her in Uncle Vanya and thought she was wonderful.

Vinyl of the cast recording is released on February 17th. cabaret.lnk.to/Pre-order I have to say the pricing on amazon seems quite good value considering the price of pop music on vinyl, especially as it is a double disc. I would like to support somewhere that isn't amazon when ordering and they do have it listed on decca but it is a bit more. Anyone know where else the vinyl could be pre-ordered? |

Have listened to the full cast recording and absolutely love it. Really captured how great it was seeing the show last February (without spoiling some of the surprises), Eddie Redmayne sings it fantastically and was great to listen to Jessie Buckley (as she was off when I saw it), also the rest of the cast and orchestra sound terrific. For those listening on Spotify, they show some great clips (or I believe they’re known as “Canvases”) for each song which makes me wonder if they’ve filmed the full thing and will ever realease the pro-shot?
