Anyone know why they brought back Anna-Jane Casey for the Graham Norton performance?

There was a lot of old cast actually that night. I can only assume it was filmed a night they had a show, so they took the two leads, and previously used ensemble so that they could have the current ensemble in the theatre, and past cast on the TV

Okay, so we are planning to be in London late May, Early June. I am desperate to see this production, but the seating chart confuses me.
Any recommendations of where to sit? Preferably not the highest priced options… the Canadian dollar does not stretch as far in the UK.
Thanks in advance!

Any recommendations of where to sit? Honestly the £30 seats in the grand circle are all perfectly fine. You get a bit of a bird's eye view, but there are very minimal obstructions and those are the cheapest tickets. If you're willing to pay a little bit more, the £50 seats in the back row of the 'stage side' dress circle are really good. As are the front row centre seats of the grand circle for the same price.

I got a £350 Table Seat for £120 a few days beforehand but without the food options. Row D in Stalls, first raised row, slap bang in centre, basically at eye level with the performers. One of the best seats I’ve ever had. If I were you, I’d wait until closer to the date and see if dynamic pricing kicks in to try and nab a last minute bargain.

Yeah if you don't want to book ahead, I've had good experiences buying tickets an hour or less before the show at the box office. I got stalls row E for £70 and it was the best seat I've had for the show so far. Also got dress row B for £50 and that was a massive bargain.

Any word on new casting yet? We’re only a few weeks away. Surely rehearsals will have started for the new leads?

She is such interesting casting. Really excited to see her. He seems like such an obvious one though, in that I'm sure he'll be good, but I wish they'd do something more unexpected.

I do think it's good casting, but I wonder if they can sustain these runs of not massively starry actors. Time will tell...

They should have given Emily Benjamin the role. She certainly deserves it!

I would love to see them bring in some truly big names. They should just stunt cast the hell out of this to keep it interesting!

I find it curious they keep casting ethnic minority actors as Clifford. Are they trying to make some kind of point?
It certainly makes a nonsense of the character and their status in the time and place Cabaret is set in (how historically inaccurate it would be in pre-Nazi Germany)

I do think it's good casting, but I wonder if they can sustain these runs of not massively starry actors. Time will tell... I think they'll see out this year just fine. But, they've had to do a whole lot more TV promo, which is steadily taking away the intrigue that came with it originally, and if the Broadway transfer rumour is true, will kind of deflate the hype on that. Though maybe all these things signal that that's not happening.

Sex Education is one of the biggest shows on television this decade I agree to an extent, but I reckon the majority of people wouldn't know her name. I recognised her face but not her name, and I've watched a couple of series of the show. Plus, the longer they go without a 'big name', the harder it will become to persuade one to join in the future.

I think Sex Education is mostly watched by a very particular demographic. Perhaps they're aiming the show squarely at millennial/Gen Zed audiences rather than the majority of the theatre going public.

I’d consider a return to see Aimee, I think she’s a terrific actress and would like to see what she brings to the show. And I’m thoroughly middle aged.

He seems like such an obvious one though, in that I'm sure he'll be good, but I wish they'd do something more unexpected. Why do you feel John Mcrea is obvious? Because he was in Jamie? I think he could be great in the role. On the other hand, I've never seen Sex Education and I have no idea who she is.
