Show stop tonight for a medical incident. We've all been put out of the auditorium after "I Am The One"

It was a first aid incident in the circle. The show shortly restarted where it left off - the actors were fantastic at picking the emotion back up again - and we're now at the interval.

They managed the first aid incident so well, and getting everybody back in promptly. Amazing work from the staff and the cast. Hope everybody is safe and well.
I’m so grateful to have got a ticket to see this again tonight. The show has been under my skin, in my brain, in my soul, since seeing it two weeks ago. The impact was not lessened a second time tonight. I think I was even more pieces and tears tonight. Both on behalf of the story and characters, but also personally too and how some of these songs speak so directly to me and my experience, I’m just blown away. Picked up a poster too for my library of posters in my office! I hope to see it and experience it again before it’s through. Gabe as a character, and that performance… just wow.

Absolutely loved this tonight, so I'm very much in the 5-star camp. Not much to add to the praise already given here, but who said earlier in this thread that Caissie wasn't a strong actor?? I really hope they do a cast recording of this production.

A truly spectacular performance again this evening.
Interesting there was a lyric change ...
"Diana: My first psychologist told me that according to the manual, grief that continues past four months is pathological and should be medicated"
was changed to:
Diana: My first psychologist told me that according to the manual, grief that continues past SIX months is pathological and should be medicated"
The things one notices ;-)

Is it really that easy to just put on another matinee? Surely cast and crew are on an agreed schedule - they can't just make them come in on demand? Plus venue staff would need to be organised.

No, I think you’re absolutely right - it isn’t easy to schedule in an extra matinee performance. Of course everybody feels great sympathy for members of the audience when a performance is cancelled and, yes, it’s true that the auditorium is free many afternoons of the week, but the number of people/contractual points/additional payments that would all have to be overcome make it difficult to simply ‘put on an extra show.’ I think the situation is probably not as straightforward as some may think.

I've just listed a ticket for tomorrow night on the noticeboard if anyone's looking for one. I've sent you a DM!

And also asking a cast to do this show for a 9th time in a week on top of all the logistical stuff? It's a hard show, 8 is enough.

I officially need an intervention to stop buying returns and seeing this show. It's just too good and I see or realise something else each time I go.

Been lucky enough to get a ticket for Thursday by keeping looking all day and see that the Donmar had automatically given me a credit voucher with NO Update, bit cheeky they have kept the £1.50 booking fee which I have had to pay again!
I understand they can't just put an extra show on but think the communication has been terrible for all of us who were there Saturday when there are random seats being put online - us lot should get first dibs!

there are random seats being put online - us lot should get first dibs! Yeah, that's been bugging me too. When I was on the phone to them and asked about remaining tickets, I got a "well, we put a few up on the website this morning but they are all gone now." Other theatres let you add your name to a returns waiting list and take the time to call you to let you know a ticket has become available. Donmar seems to just find it easier to stick returned tickets back online, knowing they will easily be resold. It really feels like they've just given up on trying to compensate us in any way.

I don’t know that I like hearing about people seeing this multiple times when some haven’t managed to get In only once 🤷🏼♂️

I'd love to see this again, but I couldn't in good conscience do so knowing I was taking the opportunity away from someone who's not yet been able to get a ticket, so I agree with mrbarnaby on that one. That returns are not being prioritised for ticketholders of the cancelled show, I think reflects badly on the Donmar.

I saw this last Thursday and it was everything I was hoping for and more. This is an exhilarating show, swinging violently from the spellbinding to the utterly devastating in the blink of an eye.
Caissie Levy enthrals as Diana. Such a powerful acting performance to complement her other-worldly vocals. Jamie Parker, fresh from his stint leading The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, has a tough job to keep up with her but keep up he does.
Special mention though for Eleanor Worthington Cox, playing Natalie, who has proven once again what a star she will be and arguably already is.
I’ll be back for closing night and am already looking forward to the inevitable transfer to be announced…
Five stars.

Aside from hose who unfortunately were at the cancelled performance, there’s been plenty of opportunity to buy tickets, with multiple releases. When a show like this is on in a 250 venue, it’s always going to require a bit of effort to get tickets if you miss the boat with the initial release. That said, I didn’t immediately sell out and there were tickets available for some time initially.

I don’t know that I like hearing about people seeing this multiple times when some haven’t managed to get In only once 🤷🏼♂️ I'll admit I did book to see N2N twice during my trip to London last week, but I'm super relieved that I did so since if I'd stuck with just my Saturday matinee booking I would have missed out altogether. Given the Donmar have had two cancelled shows within the first two weeks of its run, I'd say you're simply playing it safe booking twice if you're really passionate about seeing it. That said, since I have seen it once, I'll leave the few remaining tickets to other fans.

As long as people are buying from legit vendors then I have no issue with how many times a person wants to see a show.
I agree returns should be prioritised to people from the cancelled performances. Also just putting on a extra show isn't straightforward unless there is provision in the performers contracts in the event of a cancelation.

I don’t know that I like hearing about people seeing this multiple times when some haven’t managed to get In only once 🤷🏼♂️ Everyone had access to the same booking period and the same amount of shows that were on sale. If some people only booked once and it was cancelled, that's unfortunate.
Don't try and make others feel bad about it. Maybe don't read the thread again.
I've got 2 more performances booked

I don’t know that I like hearing about people seeing this multiple times when some haven’t managed to get In only once 🤷🏼♂️ I’ve waited for over a decade for this show to be here, spent thousands before then going to see it on trips to New York to see it on Broadway. I absolutely will be seeing it as many times as I can and hope others who love it do the same.

It's great for those who did manage to get a ticket originally or have since secured a return, but I genuinely don't know how, as I've absolutely haunted the website for weeks, checking multiple times per day (and night, given that I get up earlier than most), yet I've only ever seen 2 tix returned and they were both unaffordable (£60 each) and unavailable to me as they were for a companion and a person with impairments. It probably doesn't help that I'm looking for a matinee on certain dates but that still leaves 4 - 6 performances I can check but no sign of a return so far. Donmar Daily Release is no use as at 10 am I'm either working or out. Still, if it transfers...
