Don't know about Frozen, but I saw Hair at least five times and she was on every time. Also on the two times I saw Ghost

I really want to book tickets - but am worried about getting a STALLS side seat (no centre blocks left for the run). Any thoughts on Donmar seating and for what this show might look like? Don't want to spend £60 on an average seat. The sides are good - the theatre is tiny and shows are usually directed with the three sides in mind.

Patti Murin was out all the time, I think Levy was pretty reliable?

WOS calling it “Lead Casting” implying TDN’s playing the lead main role. Is this not the case? I don’t know the show well.

Anyone know when standing tickets to these are likely to become available? I was told they don’t release them until much nearer the time?

Anyone know when standing tickets to these are likely to become available? I was told they don’t release them until much nearer the time? The Donmar's website says "£10 standing released when all seats are sold", which makes it sound that they will become available much closer to the time - possibly on the same day, for certain performances. They also have an initiative whereby some tickets should become available for all productions each day, they say "An allocation of tickets will be released every morning, Monday – Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays), at 10am for performances seven days later."

Odd though as some performances are sold out but still no standing tickets available. I rang the box office and they say they’d be sold closer to the time but don’t know what the usual donmar policy is like.

Well this will be an unpopular opinion.... and I'm still looking forward to seeing this. Booked at the Donmar on the basis of many y-e-a-r-s of hearing the legend this show is, but never clicked to listen to the cast recording.
Just watched the first few minutes of a Broadway bootleg, and first impressions:
"It's the opening number so you get to know us, We're each stating our position in this show"....etc.
Would be absolutely slated if it was ALW and Don Black.
I trust it gets better - hope it does, I've paid my money now.
Also, you get attuned to a show, change to its bio-rhythms as it goes, so what feels clunky and overstated normalises after a while as you get drawn in. But just stating an honest view from an outsider to this piece.

You're going to get an inferior version of what you're going to see live (despite the OBC being phenomenal). If you want to hear the music first, listen to the Broadway cast recording. But even that includes spoilers, so it depends how much you like to know the music first before seeing a show. I think the opening number fits perfectly in the context of the whole show, and sets the characters up well for what follows.

I'm going to leave it to watching it live, as I did with 'The Band's Visit', 'Fun Home', 'The Light In The Piazza' and 'Be More Chill'. Let it work on me, if it does.

I totally agree with Alejo’s final sentence. I listened to the music before I saw the show on Broadway so would double down on that point. The opening number couldn’t be any further removed from ALW/DB expositional material.
The stuff on You Tube really doesn’t do the show any justice and if anyone is planning to see the production, I would certainly avoid watching any bootleg clips on-line.
I think N2N is amongst my top five favourite shows ever and am slightly apprehensive about seeing a different version to the one I saw on Broadway. Caissie Levy is a very different choice to the wonderful Marin Mazzie (RIP) ,but it’ll be interesting to see CL’s interpretation of the role of Diana. Casting for the other three complex lead roles is crucial too. The version I saw in NY was incredibly moving, unforgettably so. I really hope The Donmar version will capture a similar magic.

Diana is a tough role. Does anyone think there will be an alternate for Diana or is Caissie Levy likely to perform all eight shows a week? I have tickets for the weekday matinee and just wonder if she’ll be scheduled to perform?

They've got precedent at the Donmar with 'The Band's Visit' so may be so.

From what I understand she doesn't have a standby/alternate

So I messed up and didn’t get round to booking a ticket and can now only get standing. Has anyone stood at the Donmar? How is it?
Many thanks :-)
