I find the whole thing a little unusual tbh. Lindsay sets my teeth on edge with his serious actor ‘schtich’; I can’t see his Moonface being a lot of fun. Whilst I appreciate that someone thinks Mullally will excel as Reno she’ll need a B12 shot in her bum every night to hit the required energy levels to sell this. People will be going to see Karen sing & dance and be fabulous, not just an actress play a role in a not particularly sympathetic environment. I’d love it to be excellent but just don’t think it can be.

Out of interest did you actually see Sutton Foster in the show? Because she wasn’t good. I genuinely think maybe you should save your money if you think that them casting MM is somehow a cop out.. I think the vast majority would think this is pretty luxury casting. |

I’ve ‘seen’ it, but not in person. You seem very keen on telling me what to do as if I will be somehow injured by not going? It’s just an opinion, we don’t have to agree. I probably will go and thoroughly enjoy it. I totally get that they need a name to sell it. I’m just of the opinion that others could potentially perform it better over the length of the run.

It won't be transferring to the Old Vic - that I know There’s no way it would even fit into the Old Vic judging by what I saw in NYC. I gather they have a return London run pencilled in at the Palladium in 2022 if all goes well. |

Barbican postpones performances to evening June 5th. That's both of my performances cancelled. Pain... Mine too. But there was always a risk booking tickets I think. |
