It’s in Cardiff from tomorow and the WMC never do day seats unless your a friend member and u can get offers on the first two nights. Btw I’m going Saturday I can’t wait it was the first musical I ever saw it’s the one that started it all for me I’m so excited |

When I looked this morning there were good seats for tonight in the lower stalls for £45. They cost £95 for future performances. Not sure if that's because it's opening night but might be worth checking the WMC website for similar offers |

In response to an earlier post, it looks like they've rehearsed in additional understudies, David McIntosh is going on as Lumiere this evening and I he wasn't originally an understudy for the role.

If you compare with photos of Alyn’s normal face you can see that there are some differences and he has said that he has prosthetics but it does beg the questions if you can’t see them why bother!!! |

was at the show this afternoon. short show stop about 10 mins before the end due to the bridge not coming on properly in gaston’s fight scene but was solved within 5 ish minutes. loads of last minute covers on today who we’re all amazing especially emily as mrs potts and david as lumiere! does anyone remember if the beast and belle used to kiss at the end ? i thought they did but they didn’t today, was unsure if this was due to what seems to be a corona issue at the show today as cast members posting photos backstage with masks and visors etc or if i simply misremembered?

Hopefully seeing this tomorrow (taking nothing for granted these days). How impressive is the Beast’s transformation in this production? Something to look forward to, or should I prepare for disappointment?

There have been a few tech issues with it and the Gaston/Beast fight scene but obviously safety comes first. If Beast just stands still and removes cloak then you’ve had the backup - the equipments not working or there is a safety issue, a bit like the wicked no fly at the end of defying gravity. |

Show went ahead and transformation happened! So all good. Although I’m always disappointed with the transformation, whether it’s on stage, the animated movie, or the live action one… the Prince is never as sexy as the Beast was! I could easily fall in love with the Beast, but I want him hairy and horny  |
