Great play I saw it first time around possibly Royal Court, great to see the two principles back in the roles after all these years and still able to play them convincingly agewise. I've always felt Mackenzie Crook is underated as others from the Office have gone onto possibly more mainstream success but Mackenzie has carved out a very good career of his own playing a wide variety of roles.
I also noticed one of the original Matildas is in the company

I also noticed one of the original Matildas is in the company You mean Eleanor Worthington-Cox, who stars with Mackenzie Crook in the utterly bonkers Britannia, written by... Jez Butterworth. Which is all a very nice angle and would make me want to see Jerusalem again just for that if I was in London now. I quite expect Rylance to turn up in the show at some point, too. |

Hi all, I'm selling a good Dress circle ticket for Friday night over in the Noticeboard section if anyone is interested.
I had managed to get a couple of singles so me and my partner could see it (on different nights!). But when they dumped lots more tickets the other week I managed to get 2 together leaving me with these random singles!
I adored this during the original run and cannot wait to see it again.

Yes, though he's in smaller character roles rather than leading or celeb, as Martin Freeman, Ricky Gervais and Mark Rylance have done. I think he's great: I don't know whether Detectorists would appeal to a mainstream US audience but it's one of my favourite series of recent years. My brother preferred his performance in Jerusalem to Rylance's broader one. |

4x unclaimed Day Seats appeared on the website about 10:15 this morning.
Although still good value for front row, they are now £35 compared to I think £15 a week ago? Dynamic in full flow…

Very few are - I saw it a week ago and when I looked around and counted, I saw maybe 12 masks in the entire dress circle.

She said she felt safer on stage, where everyone was tested daily, than in an audience. I saw Sparks (who are quite old now, as are many of their fans) asking for people to wear masks to their shows but looking at the audience tweets, few were. |

I don't have tickets so was pondering going to queue up for day seats... which I did first time round it was on. Does anyone know what the queues are like for day seats? |

I was refreshing the Nimax ticketing page (not the page with the calendar that is actually on the play website - that one just continually says 'sold out') repeatedly since 10am, and 3 front row seats appeared at about 10:16. I saw someone mention that they were now £35, but they were £15 each today.

Saw this for the first time last night and it pretty much lives up to the hype. Doesn't feel like 3 hours at all and Rylance is obviously great value for money. Bit surprised Crook wanted to do it again, he's great but it's hardly a stretch for him. He seemed a bit distracted during the curtain call.

It's a pretty good role and he gets chance to work with Mark again. Maybe it could be that one would only do it if the other did. MacKenzie is doing the Wurzel Gummidge stories for BBC which he is writing, directing and adapting so takes a lot of time in make up and must be hard work. So perhaps doing an easier role which he has played before to good reviews just suits him. |
