I don't post much, but read lots and will miss Theatremonkey's contributions - thank you TM, I wish you all the best!
I also never book a seat without checking the TM seat plans - such a valuable resource

Only just seen this - very sad news!! I always used TM's website for tips on seating, day seats and even directions to a theatre! So to be able to interact with him on here was a true pleasure. As others have said, hope he's OK and will be sorely missed. Open arms and ripe bananas await should he ever return.

I always used TM's website for tips on seating, day seats and even directions to a theatre! Me too, a fantastic resource for navigating around theatres, especially when I was just getting back into theatregoing after a long illness break a couple of years ago. I do hope he comes back. |

I was privileged to meet TM "Once" a few months ago and he is as friendly and approachable in person as online. Truly fascinating to talk to.

But unfortunately it doesn't have his wisdom on bargain seats etc that TM had His website is working for me now so it was hopefully just some temporary glitch earlier. I know he was getting some snags with the new website design sorted out recently so maybe it was offline for a bit as part of that.
ETA Blimey, I've just noticed that the How was your day thread has gone from 456 pages to 402 pages, presumably due to the removal of the Monkey's posts!

Another fan of Mr Monkey here. Had a great response to a report I sent ages ago from him as Admin. Hope all is well in Banana Town, and I'll keep reading his excellent blogs on his excellent web site.

Like others, I was thrilled when Theatremonkey started liking my posts.
Whatever his reasons for leaving, I'm sure he won't have taken the decision lightly.
A sad departure of a fair, measured, funny, knowledgeable, generous and kind member.
