So, is Wonderland worth viewing? I did a search and did not find a thread about it here.

I saw the Nottingham Playhouse rather than the Hampstead production, but Wonderland is, in my opinion, definitely worth watching.
Firstly, it's written by the daughter of a miner, so it has rock-solid authenticity, and is (mostly) free of cliche and caricature.
It's easy to forget, at this distance, that the miners strike was not only about Yorkshire and Arthur Scargill (or ballet dancing!), so this is an important record of the Nottinghamshire coalfield before, during and after the strike.
Although ultimately the outcome was the same for all miners, the Nottinghamshire miners, along with their Derbyshire brethren, arguably, and perhaps controversially, can hold their heads slightly higher.

Gave this a watch tonight and certainly enjoyed it. A well written and acted piece examining both sides of the strike and the impact it had on the individuals involved both socially and economically. I would certainly agree with the online critic reviews giving it 4*.
