I always found it fascinating to hear the various answers to the questions asked by James Lipton at the end of each interview on "Inside the Actor's Studio". It should be interesting to hear the answers from the members of this board, so here goes:
What is your favorite word? Interesting What is your least favorite word? C**t What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Curiosity What turns you off? Indifference What is your favorite curse word? Farkle What sound or noise do you love? Waves What sound or noise do you hate? Car alarms What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Writing What profession would you not like to do? Garbage man If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? "Wanna go again?"
Who's next?

Favourite word: Defenestrate. Least favourite word: Mucus. What turns you on: Empathy, compassion, and curiosity. What turns you off: Cliquishness. Favourite sound: Thunderstorms, my cats snoring. Least favourite sounds: Any made by my neighbours! Other profession I'd like to do: Doctor. Other profession I'd not want to do: Teacher.
If heaven exists: "Sorry, clerical error, you're not due here for 40 years."

Favourite sound: Thunderstorms, my cats snoring. Now I'm curious... do those two things sound alike? (And yes, I agree with 'mucus'.... just the word sounds slimy!)

What sound or noise do you hate? The boss wanting a word. My late husband used to say that the four most dreaded words in the English language were when your significant other said, "We need to talk"...

These are so hard! [Perhaps I am just indecisive...] What is your favorite word?
[This changes all the time!*] At the moment, it might be: Alas! [It's so underused, and makes me so oddly happy every time I hear someone say it.] What is your least favorite word?Discombobulated [It just sounds like a lot of letters that should not be put together. Also, I cannot imagine anyone actually pronouncing it in an attractive manner.] What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Passion, enthusiasm, curiosity, modesty, kindness [There's nothing in the world more attractive than people who are not afraid to be passionate about something, are insatiably curious, and are modest and kind when dealing with others. There is also nothing that gets me as excited about a piece of work than hearing its author(s) talk about it with genuine enthusiasm. It is part of the reason I love Director's notes in theatre programmes. There are often whole universes just waiting to be discovered in those!] What turns you off?
Smugness What is your favorite curse word?
Drat! What sound or noise do you love? Drum sounds Cats purring Distinctly soft men's voices. [It's hard to describe that in writing - voices that kind of shatter and have a specific echo... think e.g. Edward Norton's voice. I tend to have small voice crushes.] People speaking in a strong (British/Scottish/Irish...) accent. [Think Andrew Scott or Leo Bill (although I am clueless on what accent exactly his would be). Those sound glorious to my Eastern European ear!]
What sound or noise do you hate? Loud whistling howls of the wind [They make me anxious.] Motorcycles Blender/food processor/vacuum cleaner sounds Fan sounds [As in, electronic cooling fans, not football fans.]
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? University professor [I'd love to teach!], actor, drummer, forensic psychologist, barrister... [Note that none of these are realistic career change options at my age.]
What profession would you not like to do? Kindergarten teacher
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? No clue. I'd be fine just with getting there.
*May I revisit this? Like once a week? I *love* words, and I suck at picking favourites in anything. I'll probably think of a better one as soon as I click on 'Create Post'.

[There's nothing in the world more attractive than people who are not afraid to be passionate about something, are insatiably curious, and are modest and kind when dealing with others. I agree... although adding 'funny' would make them perfect!
