Please let this transfer because Ant ain't got the money to buy a decent priced ticket with the added cost of a return train far from London.
Before anyone suggests it- catching a National Express coach is NOT an option!

I'm contemplating travelling to see this for my birthday, so that seating plan is very useful, as is the rest of the advice in the thread - thanks.
It looks like a lovely relatively small theatre, I'm thinking rear stalls might be better than any of the circles/balcony which look like they might feel far away given there doesn't appear to be an overhang?

Ant doesn't like coach travel and would rather miss out on seeing the show than catch a bus or a coach

The theatre website has a good clear seating plan and does highlight where the pillars are on the royal and dress circles are. The grand circle at the top is pillar free. The theatre is a bit horseshoe design in layout and the circles go up around the back edge of the stalls and do not overhang the stall seats at all Leg room best in the stalls, still snug but better than a lot of the west end theatres on Shaftesbury avenue. Regardless of what got him the elbow from putting this on at the Old Vic, Gilliam has done nothing of any note in films since the 90s, stuff like Tideland and The Man Who Killed Don Quixote were dreadful which is why he is not making any films these days.

We get it. The guy is a sexist misogynist dinosaur. It still doesn’t mean that I’m gonna miss out on something with the potential to be amazing. He hasn’t finished his career yet. Winters Tale & The Tempest were Shakespeares last solo works if memory serves.

Ive just booked this for next week. Ive got one of the perch seats in the stalls. This is either going to be an absolute bargain or agony for a couple of hours. And that's not counting what's happening on stage!

This used to be my local theatre but I can't say Ive noticed them before. The theatre Royal isn't very forgiving for us taller folk other than on the stalls; this was the only seat left there. |

For £12.50 I'm willing to take the chance. I think the stalls ones will be less side on.I will report back! There a week on Tuesday.

Oh those high bench rows are not fun, if you’re thinking about booking on the ones either side of the dress circle, sit elsewhere..! Or at least on the first one or two seats furthest from the stage. Unfortunately at an angle, as well as having a wall obscuring some of the view, so leaning is required :/ super uncomfortable .. was fine for Six, but definitely not a show longer than that |

This must be eyeing a transfer after Bath I'm pretty sure he's got that muddled - there was a version that Paramount were looking at that was Robin Williams as the Baker, Goldie Hawn as the Bakers Wife and Cher as the Witch |

With every new reveal, the excitement comes up at notch.
Julian Bleach's Mysterious Man has an air of his character in Grinning Man here and if the similarities propagate it will be a very interesting production.
Im already wondering if just the one performance is enough and whether I should book a few repeats in now whilst in the area.
