Lots of stuff been announced already, so what is your No1 musical you are looking forward to next year?
Sorry if I've missed anything out or not included your fave, just let us know your choices in the comments! (I've not included any tours of existing productions or shows that are coming back in their original form after only a brief time.)

I've put Hello Dolly mainly because I have never seen it before, love Imelda and paid the most money to see but hot on its heels has to be Sunday in the park.

I'm between Prince of Egypt and Back to the Future. Both have the potential to be properly lavish "blockbuster" musicals with great stage sets, costumes and gorgeous music. For now I voted POE, because I already know that the music will be good (based on the movie soundtrack) and the costume designs they recently showed online were promising, too. BTTF could be amazing and fabulous, but at the same time it could also be a massive car crash and I don't mean the DeLorean. I would have added Sleepless to this list, but based on the first reports from the previews this sounds DOA.
The rest of the brand-new shows leave me rather cold, especially the Broadway imports that had a luke-warm reception over there like Frozen and Pretty Woman (which I saw and don't need to see again). Sunday in the Park and Be More Chill I'm excited about due to the casting, but not the same level of curiosity as those brand-new big shows.

Hairspray - it is one of my favourite musicals of all time, and it is the original production and choreography, not the Drew McOnie version (though I like that one, it is not as good as the Jerry Mitchell and Jack O Brien version). I never saw it in London, and not with Michael Ball, but I did see it on tour and it was the show that made me interested in musicals.

I went for the one that I'm most looking forward too, but that could really go either way! I'll try and catch most of them, but there are some I really couldn't care less for! Its going to be an interesting year, and I can't wait to see what else might be announced  |

It’s undemanding fun but delivers some great moments. I just wish that the gorgeous movie version coda at the end of YCSTB was included. Imagine how that would sound played by a full orchestra in the Coliseum! |

City of Angels is the only one of the shows in the poll that I have a ticket for so I've voted for it. I'm not particularly excited about it though, I'm just going out of curiosity because when it was on at the Donmar I thought the premise sounded intriguing but couldn't get a ticket. Unfortunately now they've started stunt casting the forthcoming production, which has lowered my expectations.
So far the only musical performance in 2020 that I'm actually excited about is Zorro at Cadogan Hall. I know it won't be the same in concert as the proper production was but after a decade it'll be great to see it again at all.

I'd love to see both at the Young Vic, but I think they'd probably be far too costly to get the rights too for them. Comet certainly I don't think would fit in any of the venues you mentioned. |

Unfortunately I think it'd be too expensive for them too. Malloy said at the Preludes Q&A that anyone who wanted to put it on would be looking at 5 million dollars. |
