Well this is some timing.
It's officially not happening and a credit voucher has just been applied to people's accounts.

We're writing to you on behalf of the cast and creative team of The Old Vic’s production of Amy Herzog's brilliant play 4000 Miles.
Following its postponement due to the pandemic, and despite an enormous amount of effort from all involved, we have now sadly and reluctantly concluded that we are unable to reschedule the show at a time possible for everyone involved. It's been a long journey to get to this point and despite two years of trying hard to make it work, it has proved impossible. We're sorry not to have better news, and we want to thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
It's hard to believe that it's almost two years to the day that we should have been stepping onto The Old Vic stage for the first preview to share our show with an extremely eager audience (4000 Miles was one of the top-selling shows ever to be scheduled at this theatre). We are as disappointed as you are that this won't be happening but The Old Vic has an additional challenge to face on top of the disappointment.
During the pandemic, The Old Vic lost all of its earnt income overnight and had to sustain for almost two years without it. Despite that, it continued to share live-streamed theatre with the world and supported its local community with several life-changing projects, all without the safety net of public subsidy. The theatre is now on a long and precarious road to recovery and it urgently needs all the financial support it can get.
You would be playing a significant part in supporting The Old Vic's survival if you were able to donate the value of your order rather than asking for a refund. Donating is simple and instructions are below.
Thank you from all of us,
Matthew Warchus, Eileen Atkins & Timothée Chalamet
