Are they allowing the bows to be filmed? I've seen plenty on TikTok, so people definitely are, whether or not strictly permitted!

The stalls had two staff members at the front with sighs saying no photos or video before the show began. Widely ignored as there are loads of theatre and show curtain photos online.
But at the curtain call there didn't seem br anything to stop people. And many were, and there are loads of photos and video of the curtain call over instagram, tiktok and youtube.

Ι've always felt that videos of the curtain call can function as a nice promotion of a show so I think that they may not be asking people to stop filming (given that this is a short run and they'll need to sell tix). Having said that, I do hope that people will not be obstructing other people's view when they film the bows.

Not sure obstructing is an issue as everyone was on their feet in seconds. There was a video of the final wedding scene that seems to have vanished so I guess they are monitoring social media.

We were asked on the way in not to film or take photos at ANYTIME. Not sure if the person FOH misspoke but even that seemed extreme to me! Maybe because it was a preview..?
A bit useless as everyone was running up and down the aisles taking photos anyways both before and after the show. So no wonder they just let it go. It IS quite hard to police the London Palladium with that many people inside.

Loads of people in the stalls were filming the bows (myself included) and we were not stopped.

The only curtain call videos I've see have been the ones reposted on their official Instagram stories, so they seem to be fine with it. I imagine if there was any firm rule they wouldn't be allowed promote them.

Does anyone recall when the matinee finishes please? It takes a looooooonggg time to get out if you’re in the front row.

I really enjoyed it.
Saw what people meant about the sweat, the costume designers clearly hate dancers, all those layers and topped with velvet.
It was a loud audience tonight. Entry applause for Imelda was a surprise to me but set the tone for the evening. And the applause was just so loud for everything, even the more so so numbers.
I loved Imelda thought she shone, she did have a few mic issues though, especially at the end of the show: Thought this was the best I’ve seen Jenna Russell, she suits lighthearted so much more than misery.
Lovely to have a good size band, and nice to see so many women in the pit.
It was a fun night, my brain could just switch off and l was entertained.

Saw this last week and really liked it! Haven't seen the film but admired that this was a proper old-school musical and unashamedly so. I thought Imelda was fantastic, acting and singing. If I were being critical I'd say that the second half meanders about and goes on a little too long, but it was still enjoyable.
I was at the back of the the dress circle and got a great view of the choreography, but I'd forgotten how big the Palladium is and did feel a bit removed from the action. So I've booked a front row seat to see it again!

Put a £20 ticket in the stalls up on the noticeboard for Monday the 29th if anyone is interested. Purchased at young person's rate. Will be going a couple days later instead!

Wow, getting in was manic. Huge queues and lots of rows as people skipped the line.

Saw it today. I really liked it. I saw the Open Air Theatre production and I much preferred this one. I just don’t think this show is ever going to be for me.
I agree with some of the comments that some of the sets weren’t great, but then there were some amazing bits. Some of the comedy fell a bit flat (not really from Imelda or Andy though).
I think I’m just not meant for big American classic musicals.

I did see this again yesterday. Side Stalls a few rows back. Rush ticket.
Still incredible. Downside was being positioned with an older coach party from Surrey and being asked why there were so many single men here. I’m not convinced that the two guys with identical Tesco meal deals next to me were single. But I will trust in the judgement of the ladies from the coach party that the Palladium is a good place to meet women.
They enjoyed it, as did I.
A partial ovation after Hello Dolly. A full ovation at the end.
It is worth sitting a few rows back to get the full impact of Imelda on the staircase.

Place was full of blokes and couples. I empathise with Dolly. 😂

Other than wondering why they decided to make the steps so huge when she is so tiny.

Well, if you're at the extreme sides, wondering why everyone is cheering is a thing. (yes, I knew, but that green dress and iconic walk down is still stunning)

Yeah the coming down the stairs moment is very flat (mainly because the staircase is MASSIVE and it takes her half an hour to get down it, but you also see her come up the stairs from the wings) - it doesn't have the impact it's had previously of the curtain opening at the top of the stairs and there is Dolly...

This was my biggest note after seeing the first performance, SURELY you would cover the passageway from SL to the top of the stairs? Lost a huge amount of the momentum.
