Just out from this afternoon's matinee and really enjoyed it. Will post more thoughts later but they've pulled out all the stops on this one- proper stage with revolve, projections, cute puppets and a great cast!

Seven members, though don't know where they managed to hide them as we didn't see them. Ria was very good, wouldn't have known she had only taken over the role a few days ago.

It may have taken 2 years to get this show staged, but after today's viewing it was well worth the wait. An absolutely fantastic production from the Hope Mill team that ticked all the boxes for me.
Firstly, a book that actually made sense in telling this classic tale. All the characters were fleshed out and integral in driving the story forward. A really lovely score from Rodgers and Hammerstein performed by a great cast and 7-piece orchestra. Grear use of video and projections along with physical sets and puppets really brought the story to life and added a little bit of magic to proceedings to keep both adults and kids thoroughly entertained.
This is definitely worth a watch. Rating 4 stars
