The Menier did a production a while back with Timothy and Samuel West.
I do wonder with short plays why they don’t pair when with another short play. Maybe not one that’s over 90 minute but perhaps another hour long play

Great news re. Sir SRB in a major classic role, shame so long to wait. Love me some Roger Allam but isn't A Number extremely short? I mean like half an hour? I saw it at the Young Vic with the most perfect set for a play there’s ever been. It runs just over an hour. I saw that with the Shrapnels. Im not a Churchill fan but liked it. Love Allam so may well book for this. |

I assume there's something planned for the period between late March to mid to late June 2020 but it's not ready to be announced yet.

Does anyone know as yet what the seating plan for La Belle Sauvage will be like? Thrust stage - "Alys Always" / "A German Life" layout. For those of us who aren't members, can anyone let me know if there are any of the usual bridge affordable stalls seats? |

I wouldn't be surprised if either Lucy Prebble's Carmen Havana or John Hodge's flatpack end up being the March-June show. It's also possible that they end up having two shows filling that period.

Thanks for seat info though sounds like might have to wait for sightlines etc. And hopefully cheaper seats. It's much simpler when theatres announce things you don't like.

I’ve been looking for an excuse to go to the Bridge Theatre, and LA BELLE SAUVAGE is just that. Do you think this will be immensely popular? Do Bridge shows sell out? How is it selling I priority booking?

Having purchased tix today for the recently announced programme I did notice a few things -
Number - Still good availability for cheap stalls tix (£15/25). Gallery 2 appears to be reserved for Young Bridge Members on all performance dates.
La Belle - Gallery 2 is probably your best bet for the £15/25 tix. Not much going cheap in the stalls on the dates I looked at.
Shoot Horses - Gallery 2 again is your best bet for cheap tix (£15/25). The dance option tix are based in stalls A-D and AA-MM or Gallery 1 AA-CC.
Borkman - Gallery 2 for your cheap tix £15-25.
Gallery 3 doesn’t appear to be in use for any production so far.

Booked all 4 putting our first 2021(!) date in the calendar. Also booked what I think is our first ever press night as there were mid-range seats for A Number and I thought it might be nice to finally do "opening" night 👍

Just booked A Number in presale. In case this affects anyone else, I kept being told there was only one £18 seat available, yet when I tried one on phone, one on desktop, there were adjacent seats free. It let me book them as separate transactions, so I wonder if they just want a booking fee per tickets for the cheapest level. Of course I'll probably find tomorrow that I could have got them anyway, but there we are- I'm restricted to certain dates so at least I'm sorted.

Relatively straightforward booking today for John Gabriel Borkman. Nice to have something for April 2021 in the diary... It does look as though they might be saving the front row cheapies for releasing some other time, or until some staging decision is made? Which is a shame as that's where I've sat at my previous sittings there (when I was a member). I must say I'd be annoyed if I were still a member and I didn't get access to those seats. I went for side Gallery 1 when you can get a mix of restricted view (pillar, I assume?) and full-price not so expensive full-price tickets. If memory serves (having seen Scofield/Redgrave/Atkins for Richard Eyre and Michel Piccoli for Luc Bondy!), being a bit high will be good as the last scene is an open-air snow scene.
Will this be Hytner's first Ibsen? I don't think he's done any Chekhov either. The only stuff from this era he's done is some Shaw at the National and The Importance of Being Earnest in the West End with Maggie Smith. A welcome departure for him.

Still no news on the intriguing two-month gap from late March? I'm coming up for two days at the end of the month and am finding it trickier than usual to fill my four slots: will almost certainly see my first Vanya since SRB, based on reviews here, but there doesn't seem to much on elsewhere (Donmar, Almeida) that appeals (I already have tickets at other times for The Visit and Leopoldstadt). Would certainly jump at the chance to see Maggie Smith again if that comes back. The Hampstead will be announcing soon too, I suppose.

From what I understand there's no announcement because they currently still have nothing in! I was talking to a friend who works there and she said there was nothing in when she last looked.
