Really hoping this is a success and extends or transfers as the dates fall EXACTLY between my scheduled trips to London 😤

I see they've cast Luke Bayer and Millie O'Connell, which to be honest sounds like a GENIUS combo to attract a pretty decent-sized crowd!

Runs 24th October to 4th of January, press on the 28th of October. Not on the website yet but it's a coming. Loved Soho Cinders when it ran at the Soho Theatre (and almost transfer to the Wyndham's but minds were changed at the 11th hour I believe). Great to have it back in London. Gutted, as they actually end on Dec 21, and I’m only arriving on Dec 28. Wanted to see it so much!

Suspect is it an extension that is already planned, so dont fill your diary yet Stasia (the company was being employed to the 4th of Jan last I heard).

Is it just me or... link ... the cast for this is remarkably... well, monochromatic/white? At least for a show that their creators describe on their website as "celebrating the capital's most colourful district"... (apologies, I'd paste the tweet as a whole, but I just realised I don't know how to do that!)

Same director and a number of cast members returning from the recent Union theatre production. The casting of Luke and Millie will surely bring in the Jamie/Six fan bases.

These days you actually have to work quite hard to have an all-white cast so this is disappointing to see. Much like the recent cast of Cats at Kilworth!

isn't there a racial discrimination sub plot? has that been cut?? The current version of the show has replaced that with a sexual harassment storyline - Sacha is now played by a girl I believe

We are booking this solely on the Luke and Millie casting tbh so the force of Jamie/Six is strong in this one!

I have always had a soft spot for this somewhat unfortunate theatre and also liked the CD of the original cast recording. So, I will be going. Thank you for creating this thread.

Any news on the rumoured extension to this show ?
I realise it only opens tonight but when is it likely to be announced ?

Great opening tonight...wonderful performances by whole cast...Robbie’s two sisters were hilarious...at least one ex-Six queen in audience.Millie would make a terrific Eliza in MFL.Quite a topical and witty book if a little clunky in places...some rather contorted rhymes in the song lyrics. Luke carries the lead well with a true sense of naivety mixed with self-questioning... Thought the performers negotiated the tiny performance square with aplomb.A few late lighting calls but it will improve. Lot of fangirls/boys in and were impeccably behaved. I hope this a big smash for this little theatre. Will play well as an alternative panto through the festive season.

This was cute. The pink and blue set is fun, if a little bare. Luke Bayer is brilliant. Performs with sensitivity and skill. He does perform a lot of riffs throughout, but they are well controlled. Millie O'Connell has a rather small role, but never fails to fill the stage with her charisma, magnetism and sarky humour.
I think the production overall feels unfinished and slap-dash. The score is boring. Ballad after ballad, with bookend high energy numbers at the beginning and end of each act. Far too many reprises for my liking. I really don't think the material is anything special. Thank God for the Ugly Sisters, making me break into a chuckle once or twice.
If you want something a bit different on a rainy afternoon or something panto-esque with adult themes, sure. Go for it. But wait for the offers, at least.
