... could Faye Brookes be doing a stint as Vivienne when this reopens? A clever nod on Dancing on Ice a few weeks ago if so. It appears not - Faye Brookes just announced as Roxie for the Chicago tour 😀 The screenshot won't post from their official Twitter account, but brilliant casting! The names on everybody’s lips are gonna be... Kiss mark @faye_Brookes as Roxie Hart Kiss mark @sinittaofficial as Mama Morton Kiss mark @divinadecampo as Mary Sunshine Kiss mark @scottdjalenga as Velma Kelly Kiss mark @joelmontague as Amos Hart

She was in ‘Mutiny!’ with David Essex many moons ago so presumably at some point she could.

This is quite a comforting sign that the world is returning to normal. Another tour of Chicago being wheeled out and ‘anyone will do as long as they’ve been on telly’ casting for Mama Morton.
Fabulous

It explains why a local am dram society couldn't get the rights again for Chicago (was due to perform in APRIL 2020 but lockdown 1:0) Fact of the matter is, Chicago puts bums on seats and as a business model - it's easy to market. As much as I champion new writing and talent, you have to think commercially long term. I think there will be a lot of casualties in terms of people leaving the industry altogether. Who knows?

Im glad the show is transferring to a new home. It's a feel-good show and should do well with people wanting some escapism.

Nice to see PW end up where it should have ended up all along. Piccadilly never sat right, it always felt like a Savoy show

I think of it in the same ilk of Legally Blonde and 9 to 5 (although it's nowhere near LB in any aspect) and I guess I see it as a show fitting better in the heart of theatreland, not tucked away on a back street like the Piccadilly is

Yeeee haaaaaaa! I can’t wait to see it again. I expect a good healthy run as well. I much preferred it on the West End to Broadway oddly enough. Was funnier and had a better cast.

Hey, sorry to bother you all. I have a quick question about PW when it was at the Piccadilly, what was the show schedule? Specifically, was there a Sunday show?
Thanks x

Funny it's some of the lower paid staff that are having to pay to get the industry going again isn't it? I'll shut up now, or I'll get into trouble 😁😜
