I was wondering if Killian Donnelly might end up as Edward, as he is now free and did the workshop, but I believe he and SB used to be an item so that would be awkward 😂

I def think Amber might be appealing to producers because she might help to bring in the 9 to 5 type audience that Pretty Woman will probably attract, and I think she could do a decent job, but i don’t personally think she’s a strong enough actress and singer for a leading role. That said, I think Sam Barks is totally overrated - she was good when I saw it in broadway but I didn’t think she was anything particularly special ... but then a lot of that was due to the musical itself I think.

Sheridan would be a decent Kit but she’s no Vivianne. I doubt she’d ever do a supporting role however.

Looks like it won't be Samantha Barks as she has just been announced to be in Chess in Japan which runs Jan/Feb.

If Sam Barks isn't cast, @theatremonkey wont be too happy considering he's probably bought a fair few tickets. I expect we'll see lot of PW tickets for sale on the Noticeboard thread shortly if this is the case.

There goes any thought of me buying a ticket then, the only reason I'd see it again would be for her. Unless she does a limited run at some point? Or would Chess finish early enough for her to make the last couple of weeks of rehearsals, even though that wouldn't be ideal? |

Chess Performances dates are from 25th Jan - 9th Feb in Japan, so highly unlikely. |

I’m disappointed that it’s looking unlikely for Sam too. |

Will you be paying a visit to your Japanese macaque relatives while you're over there? (NB This one actually lives in Scotland, I've never been anywhere near Japan.)

She's pretty and an amazing singer, but isn't what I'd say was Vivian. I look forward to see how she fares though!
