Anything announcing now, to go in before Christmas, is silly too. Unless it's got Jodie Comer in it, it just isn't long enough to sell a run in a 1000+ seat house

It does smell like one of those slightly desperate ‘try & make people see it before it closes’ type extensions. I’d expect it to start stumbling after Christmas and maybe close Valentines week. ‘Crazy for You’ and the Savoy seem like a match made in heaven. |

Is this due a cast change? Am I right in thinking the leads have been in for 2 and a half years? I wonder if whoever goes in next will be taking it on tour.

Aimie Atkinson and Danny Mac are confirmed in it until 13th November. Really, it's only been just over a year. It played for a month at the Piccadilly before Covid closures and then reopened on 8th July 2021. |

Surprised by Courtney Bowman as Kit, a lovely piece of casting in my opinion! Saying that, I’m really surprised this is still going. I enjoyed it but with so many shows closing, I’d have had this one in the mix too.

Both performances cancelled today due to "illness in the company".
Fortunately for me the notification was emailed just after 11am. An hour later and I would have been on my way to the station as I had a matinee booking. No text message though.
Rebooked same reduced-price front row seat for a few weeks time.

TBH It'll have done almost two years at the Savoy plus the month at the Piccadilly so it's had a successful run all in all. It'll do great guns on tour.
Wonder what's planned for the Savoy. A musical or perhaps the Stranger Things play?
