Great show. Because I'm old I have memories of Jenna Russel in the fabulous Bridewell production many moons ago.
I want to see it but I'm trying to save money. Dam.

Saw this last night. Enjoyed the score and the cast were great, but found the production a bit disappointing. It was all incredibly chaste for a show that's literally all about sex - not saying I wanted the cast to get their kit off but when the male cast, for instance, only go as far as taking off their jackets occasionally it renders the whole thing a bit odd! Looking at reviews of other productions there is a lot of variation in how explicit the staging is.
Very minimal set (basically just a table), good use of lighting to suggest different locations. Three-piece band (piano, cello and drums) who sounded good but unfortunately the cellist was taken ill and left at the interval!
Talking of which when the show is only about 70 minutes long, having a 20 minute interval after 35 minutes is somewhat unnecessary. Is it normally done straight through?
Incidentally if (like me) you missed the early booking discount you can save a couple of quid booking through TodayTix - £21 there, vs £23 including booking fee from the Union.

The interval came after scene 5 (the rich husband and the wife). And yes, I did think it damaged the flow of the piece since the scenes and score flow into each other.
Interesting also that the Bridewell production was 90 minutes straight through while this is 90 minutes including the interval. There are a few bits in this where they cut from pre to post-coital with a flash of light so I wonder if this is the reason for the shorter running time.
