I saw this on Sunday matinee show, absolutely loved it. Some great jokes. I've seen the play that goes wrong, trying to line up the Peter Pan one next.

In case anyone other than me is interested there have been some more cuts & changes in the last few weeks (I saw it tonight having last seen it at the very end of October). I'm particularly sorry that Dave Hearn doing CPR on a seagull has gone as I loved that when it was added. Finally some attempt to solve the Cooper naming issue has been made as Caprice now calls him Niall during Act 2. I still live in hope that some day they might fix the getaway driver issue...
I finally managed to catch Steven Rostance on as Everyone Else tonight, which completes my traversal of all 10 of the 1st covers. I've given up hope of managing the 2nd covers.

Dawnstar, do you know when the original cast leave this show? My sister and brother-in-law want to see them. Is it too late? Thanks in advance.

The exact date hasn't been confirmed yet but somewhere around the beginning of February, subject to change, was the last I heard. So a visit in the remainder of December or January would be a good idea if they want to be sure of seeing the originals.

Great fun again tonight. Some stuff I didn't remember from the first time round - could be later additions or my rubbish memory to blame for that... Henry Shields having trouble with corpsing a couple of times - nice to know the giggles still get them, too!
They're collecting this month for a charity one of their members runs - they take shows into children's hospitals and hospices, so that sick children can experience theatre too. It costs £15k annually to run - and they're hoping to raise that total from audiences throughout December. So if you're headed there this month, maybe take a few extra coins and help them on their way...?

URGENT HELP PLEASE:
I have decided to book and see this show using the GILT offer for a xmas present. However, I'm not sure when the originals are leaving and I would desperately like to see them in the show. Do people think they'll still be there first weekend of Feb or would it be a better bet to book it for a weekend in January??

@george22 All I've been told is what I already said, that cast change is some time around the beginning of February but the exact date is not confirmed. That was as of a couple of weeks ago so I guess you could always try tweeting & asking if there's any update if you're desparate. There was the same uncertainty for the first TPTGW cast change so it's normal for the company.

@theatremonkey
TM, do you know what the view from Upper Circle B is like and whether it is good for £20. Using the GILT offer as a Xmas present and am torn between booking Upper Circle B for £20 or Stalls B for £30??

Can't vouch for the Upper though I'm afraid.

Another vote for the front stalls from me.

Yes, front stalls would be better, I think. Facial expressions are less important in this show than in their others, but still worth seeing up close as they interact so well together.

I wonder if any of the current cast of Peter Pan Goes Wrong will take over roles in the Bank Robbery when the original cast leave in February? The timing would seem ideal and they would all be worthy replacements. Bryony Corrigan in particular is outstanding in the cast at the Apollo at the moment as Sandra/Wendy.
Alternatively, perhaps existing understudies at the Criterion might be promoted? Ellie Morris was excellent covering for Nancy when I saw the show in July, although she may well be joining the others in heading to Broadway.

B for faces. Circle does get a better view of two scenes, though. I'd go stalls, too. Is that Row B of Upper Circle or Stalls??
Thanks, TM, think I'm going to go for Upper Circle Row B as people say neck ache is a pain online. Would prefer to sit in stalls but cheaper in circle - would you suggest sitting A or B? Would sit B but don't want to miss the whole show due to people leaning over? Is the view still good from Upper C Row B??

I sat in Stalls B as well - good view if no tall person right in front. Rake is non-existant in this theatre..

Bryony is going to Broadway, along with Matt Cavendish, as the first covers so neither of them are available for TCAABR.

I also sat on an aisle seat in Row B in the stalls and there is no neck problems at all. I'd say further back for the sake of just two parts, but one of these parts was also because it was an aisle seat. If you were sat in the central part of Row B this specific thing wouldn't be an issue.

In case anyone's still interested, cast change is going to be 5th February with the new cast starting on 7th. The new cast will be starting rehearsals this coming week so an announcement is due shortly. Source: interval chat with Henry Shields at TPTGW last night.

Great to see understudy promotions for Gareth & Mark and to see Niall & Mike joining the cast. Interesting that Jeremy is switching roles.
I'm baffled that they've cast a black actor as Cooper. Unless they have totally re-written a large part of Act 2 it's going to make no sense.

^It's called "colour blind casting," Dawnstar - the best person for the job got the role and audiences will see Cooper, not skin colour. Baemax, I'm sure, will fill you in on the background details of the whole theorem, if you ask nicely. I know some of the characters in TCAABR aren't the brightest but are we supposed to believe that they're stupid enough to mistake a black Freeboys for a white Freeboys? That just makes no sense to me. No one would be that stupid in real life so why would they be on stage?
