Prince Charming in the ensemble is quite a change. I thought he might be paired with another prince in the say way as Into the Woods. Why call it Cinderella at all. Because it’s clearly about... Cinderella?

What's so important about Prince Charming? He's just a guy with a thing about feet.

I suppose it depends which version you know but often the Prince doesn't want to marry, and turns down all different duchesses and princesses and marries Cinderella because he falls in love with her. They usually get their happy ending together. Her going to the Prince's ball and then either being miserable and nobody likes her, or marrying a footman she meets there or something isn't quite the same...
Also, if they're going to do the bit with the glass slipper, I don't think people would answer the door for a chance to get married to just anybody. I can see how the story can work, but not without the Prince being quite involved (Sebastian is his best friend or something, like John in TSATR), which is why I was a bit surprised he's only a featured ensemble part.

I put in a request to change my seats last night (as my new date was the exact same evening as I was going to Back to the Future) and this evening got an email with new seats for my chosen performance. Great service from LWTheatres

Award for most tone deaf lyrics before it’s even opened must go to Zippel for Cinderella In just one song he gives us ‘barking mad’ ‘’loon’ ‘nutter’ ‘lame’ Thought we’d moved on from this kind of thing - someone needs to let ALW know the youth he’s so desperately trying to attract with this one will just cringe at this along with the rest of us

And now a chance for the public to get involved in a lyric video. Take a line and interpret it in a drawing or video and you could be in with a chance of being in the official lyric video. Can’t wait to see what they do for those lines... cinderella.lnk.to/LyricVideoSo

More on Prince Charming and his small part. Perhaps that's why Cinderella doesn't want to marry him. Although Andrew can't have been writing from personal experience (Brightman, 2001) in that case.

Cinderella is on BBC Children in Need tonight! I'm assuming it's the same performance as on the One Show a week ago with Carrie and ALW.

Cinderella is on BBC Children in Need tonight! I'm assuming it's the same performance as on the One Show a week ago with Carrie and ALW. Yes, so a lot of people are saying: 'Was she just singing "f*cking Cinderella" on #ChildrenInNeed?' Have to say, the diction was bad, it would have been mistaken for the above - I don't think it helped having that mic and it must have been so nervewracking doing it live - TV is so different compared to theatre. I still cannot believe how much of a rip off, of In My Own Little Corner this is...I find it so shouty and clunky too. The other song is stronger and wish that was used. ALW said he hopes to open Cinderella in April or May. Mixed feelings about this promo, ALW always comes across so awkward being interviewed, he is right in mentioning regional venues though regarding panto.

I have never written a song in my life. I could DEFINITELY write - and possibly perform - a better song than that. FACT. Dreadful

Lots of comments on social media along the lines of "did Cinderella just drop the f-bomb"? Ofcom's lines may be busy this evening!

Watched Carrie on Children in Need and Andrew miming/faking the keyboard.
A The song is naff.
B The other song “Far Too Late” is much better
C Carrie I’m sorry looked like a local librarian from hull singing in glasses - I could say more but I shall refrain. Looks, clothes, styling DO matter greatly folks.
D Odd song, awkward interviews and Carrie doesn't have that MT star lead quality others have in my opinion. It just looks and sounds naff.
Thumbs down from me sorry and I adore ALW shows

And so dreadfully plodding. Dah da daah da da dada da da daah da da da 🥱. Kill me now. And she won’t be able to hit that note at the end by the fourth week of the run. Mark my words.

Although I am fan of the man.
It took me a few listens to warm to this song, it didn’t blow me away.
However what is nice in a year that has been very difficult, it s great to hear something new,
