I have a ticket for tomorrow. I have a LFT booked at the chemist at 9.30 am. What are the chances of getting my result in time for this show? You should be able to pick up a box of LFTs from your chemist for free, you carry out the test yourself and get the result in half an hour.

Twitter alert. CHF being quite rude to a lady expressing her disappointment at the cancellation of the show. Carrie then went on to block her. I don’t think the lady was being confrontational. Why does Carrie do this??It’s so unnecessary.

I see Monday and Tuesday's performances are both "sold out" now. There was lots of availability before, so this may well be a sign that they're going to be cancelled.

Perhaps the audiences from Saturday's cancelled shows have been moved there? Well I've not been offered a ticket if they have. In the email they sent me yesterday evening they asked people to bear with them as they wouldn't start working through the bookings until Monday

Of course, a two-day fix to sort out one or two of the issues highlighted on this thread might serve them well before press night (i.e. use a Covid positive scenario to rehearse new ideas)... Yeah the cynic in me had thought this too. There must be someone somewhere reading through audience reaction surely? With ALW bleating on about theatres opening they’ve had plenty of time to work out their Covid safety protocols. If it was someone self isolating waiting for a PCR test result then I guess they would find out Monday /Tuesday latest...in which case the press night could very well be cancelled if there has been close contact

I'm booked for a go in the spinning chairs tomorrow - hoping it goes ahead but still not 100% convinced. My backup plan is to hope TodayTix still have some discounted Heathers tickets as if it's a last minute cancellation I'll already be on my way.
I'm supportive of them expecting LFTs from fully vaccinated guests as well - we know that vaccinated people can still catch and therefore spread it, even if the viral load is less and so presumably less likely to pass on, it's still a possibility. I have a lot of theatre booked over my school holidays and will continue to test regularly regardless of whether theatres require me to or not, even once I'm able to get the vaccine covid pass.

If it was someone self isolating waiting for a PCR test result then I guess they would find out Monday /Tuesday latest...in which case the press night could very well be cancelled if there has been close contact I'd be pretty surprised if they did this. For one, from the reviews on here from people like ceebee who've seen it a few times, it doesn't sound like much has changed in the last few weeks - and they've had a good 3 weeks of previews by now - if there was some major insight of change they wanted to work through (and use a COVID excuse) I would've imagined that would've happened by now. I've listened to the recording probably more times than I ever listened to Stephen Ward or School of Rock by now. Really a nice score - and the "I Know you" melody has been stuck in my brain since I first heard it, especially with the waltz. My only criticism - I really want a full orchestra for this. Some of the synthesizer/computer generated stuff sounds exactly like that - especially in comparison to the areas where they used a full orchestra (i.e. "Far too late" instrumentals) Getting ahead of things here, but hopefully this comes to broadway and the orchestra is expanded with a new recording of this score

I would add though that the orchestral sweeps in Far Too Late sound as good in the theatre despite being mostly synthesised with additional strings in the band.

Whilst people occasionally say that theatre professionals read this board, and that they look at twitter to gauge opinion etc I would be very surprised if a group of artists who have been working on this for over 3 years will be changing their production based on this feedback. If it transpired that the story was not clear, or that songs & jokes weren’t landing as they’d hoped maybe then they would change things. They would be more likely to change the advertising to help folks understand what they are going to see rather than change the product. Of course I might be hoping for the opposite come 5.30 on weds, or may even be the first to see whatever changes have been made.

Why does Carrie do this??It’s so unnecessary. I don’t think she was rude. The lady was basically like ‘cheers Carrie, husbands crying’ and she politely pointed out it wasn’t her decision. I don’t understand why people are haranguing cast members when shows get cancelled. I would think the cast want it to go on more than anybody! There also is unfortunately a risk in these times that things like that happen at very short notice and it is quite simply one of those things that’s no ones fault, and harassing someone who is just as dissapointed as you, if not more so, achieves nothing.

I read one text with Carrie saying “TWEETING THE ACTORS IS FRUITLESS” why use Twitter publically then. I thought it was unkind AND rude!

I think sometimes as a woman, if you’re forthright you get accused of being rude. Yes she has a public twitter, but she can use that how she likes. She was pointing out that it wasn’t her fault when she was being made to feel like it was and I can understand her objecting to that!

So can I. It's like shouting at shop assistants because something's out of stock. Someone doesn't become responsible for your anger just because they're the only person within reach.

This perhaps suggests that the uncertainty over whether it would go ahead today was over whether the cover had had sufficient rehearsal time.
