Well for me, the "ear-worm" factor of Cinderella has gotten me all weekend. All day today I had "I Know you" in my head have been humming it on and off. And the orchestral version with "The Cinderella Waltz" is just spectacular.
Considering the year that this has been, I'm glad ALW got to record this and hope that things continue to improve. Maybe a second recording that will improve the orchestrations (much as was the case with Sunset Blvd)

So this is weird: This link takes you through to a lottery for Cinderella, but there is nothing on the Cinderella website about it. The enter button for Joseph is gold, but this is pink, like the show colours. I've entered. Who knows if it will work!! www.josephthemusical.com/ticket-lottery/validation/Edit: received confirmation of lottery entry via email. Link gives you more lottery info, but says Lottery Winners will be able to book discoutes seats up to £XX.XX in value.

Audience tonight seemed to enjoy the show - still with the understudy Sebastian. Better diction but lacks charisma. Ran to 2hr40 this evening, getting some good laughs and really gelling well.
Many thanks to the lady at the end of Row C with the pink hair for getting her phone out in CHF solo then trying to film the men with their shorts off. She might have enjoyed Leicester Square more last Sunday.

As my Friday night show (Hairspray) is now cancelled, hopefully Cinderella might still have some tickets left by then. I only need a single so hopefully some may go back on sale or the box office staff can work their magic again. I wasn’t planning on seeing it anytime soon but the reviews posted on here have peaked my interest.

What time is best to turn up at the BO? For the Palladium it was turn up after 6pm to get the ticket last night.

Tbh, I think you'll get a ticket any time. It'll be a while (if at all) that this show sells out. If you need to travel in, phone them first and they'll probably hold it for you.

Hopefully they can sort it there and then. I’ll definitely have a look at the lottery thing as well as another option.

ceebee - any other noticeable changes to the story/score? Not that I noticed - I still think the CHF second reprise section could be cut. The playout music was different - instead of the beautiful strings (even if mostly synth) and replaced it with a woodwind sound - hard to determine what (prob synth again) doing a medley. It wasn't offensive but I prefer the previous version. One thing I will say is that the music intro before the curtain rises for the second half isn't great. Somebody described it as sounding like a Gameboy. It's pre-recorded and people clap along with it and then clap the recording when it finishes. It's the weirdest part of the show for me - a great place to showcase ALW and instead we get Tetrisrella.

The fact that we are highlighting “synths” in a major Andrew Lloyd Webber musical in 2021 when tickets can cost around 100 pounds, covid or not.. is a damn disgrace.
This would never happen on Broadway. They have a stronger equity, and though tickets are more expensive, obviously better standards. This will now be the norm I tell you. Ten piece bands or even less.
Ugh

£25 for the lottery tickets according to the T&Cs. That's seems pretty good (depending on where you end up sitting of course).
Although I've been spoiled — I used to be able to get £10 standby tickets (any seat for most productions) when I was a student!
