I can add to the rumble. I had tickets (using gift vouchers) that ended up on 26th November. I received an email 'thanking' me for choosing to have evouchers - doesn't mention what I've chosen evouchers for but it's the only show I have tickets for. Considering I didn't cancel and certainly didn't ask for evouchers I'm slightly bemused. So you booked direct with LWT? ?The London Theatre Direct website.

…and I rejected the date they changed my ticket to, but they have sent confirmation anyway. I have asked the helpful gent that has very speedily sorted our BTTF tickets to try and find a day that we could see both, saving a train journey and an unnecessary day in town.

Sounds like a cock up by London Theatre Direct rather than LW Theatres.

Sounds like a cock up by London Theatre Direct rather than LW Theatres. You're probably right. But I should add that they moved the dates once successfully. Then the second time that the dates shifted mine stayed the same. And this time they just cancelled with no communication.

Really really helpful guy named Darren has managed to squeeze our Cinderella, BTTF and Frozen into one weekend all at the same price points. Slightly poorer Cinderella seats but if it saves me 2 lots of train fair I’ll take it. How long is Cinderella currently so that I can try and bag cheap advance train seats too!

The preview I went to did start a bit late and have a long interval (normal in previews I guess). Was 22:20 when I looked at time just as I’d left theatre. Did stay for 5 minute play out though!

Lovely man has now moved our 5.30 Frozen seats to the 1.00 on Sunday so we aren’t hanging around all morning and still drive home in the light. I have upgraded them to £59.50 box seats as that was all that was available. Looking forward to being ‘frozen’ at some point in proceedings.

Curious to hear from any folks in the UK - has the cast returned to work? Do they resume rehearsals now (and perhaps make any changes)? And is next Wednesday's first resumed performance the Press night?

Curious to hear from any folks in the UK - has the cast returned to work? Do they resume rehearsals now (and perhaps make any changes)? And is next Wednesday's first resumed performance the Press night? According to Carrie Hope Fletcher's instagram story - "rehearsals have been happening over the past couple of weeks and we have 4 dress runs from Friday to Monday. But prior to this break we were open for 3 weeks so the rehearsals required isn't as extensive." Press night is August 25th I believe.

Makes me think they may have had some tinkering with needing all that rehearsal and 4 dress runs.

Yeah, that’s a lot of rehearsals for a show that was supposed to be good to go.
Is anyone else still waiting to hear about their booking? I was supposed to be going next week, but still haven’t heard anything.

I was supposed to be going next week, but still haven’t heard anything. Email them. I was waiting too and eventually I gave up and contacted them. They claimed to have sent me an email, but I have nothing from them (and yes, I did check my spam). They asked me to send them over three dates I could make and are sorting it out directly (still awaiting final confirmation). Although if your booking is after the 18th, it should be going ahead?

Wondering if maybe they've been rehearsing understudies? Even when the self-isolation rules change, if a cast member actually gets covid, they're out of the show. Hard to do a performance of Cinderella if you have no one in the building who knows the part because your leading lady is in quarantine and you haven't done a cover run yet!

Surely that's just common practice for any illness related reason not just Covid.

Oh I know, but right now that might seem like a dangerous gamble. (Edit: I now see I got confused and replied to the wrong person - sorry! But yes, normally their understudies would be rehearsed once the show is frozen after previews)

Definitely no emails here either, but my ticket turned up in the post this morning. Still going to have to email though as it’s not showing in my account as an upcoming event or in the order history, and given some people on here were sent tickets for shows that had already taken place I don’t really trust their booking system.

Does anyone know what the second number with the full orchestra is on the concept recording? They've always said that they recorded two full orchestral accompaniments at Abbey Road during lockdown. One is Only You, Lonely You. Not sure of the other.
It's definitely none of the three big CHF songs as they all sound heavily synthesised.
From the CD, I think it's The Cinderella Waltz. Which sounds orchestral. To me! It can sometimes be very hard to tell though, so just wondered what other people's ears are telling them. Or indeed if anyone knows for a fact!

They've released some of the cheaper side circle seats for the new "gala night" or whatever it is they're calling it now this coming Wednesday. I've picked one up out of nosiness since I'm in London for the matinee anyway. Will be very disappointed now if it turns out to be exactly the same show with no changes!

CHF also came in on the last day i believe, though i'd have to double check. A friend works there.

Assumed it must be, but wanted to check my ears weren't deceiving me!

I had always guessed "Far too Late" was also recorded with a full orchestra - definitely the waltz (and when that melody comes in for the end of the Waltz it sounds like that...) My hope is that Cinderella has a successful launch (finally) next week... and eventually heads to NY where ALW can revisit the orchestra size and maybe a new recording with a fuller orchestration throughout. There's some beautiful melodies that continue to pop into my head that just seem undermined by the small "band"

Will the “comedy” work on Broadway?

Very much not a person in the know or with insider knowledge. But using the (admittedly unreliable) method of following the cast on SM - looks like they returned yesterday with minimal working time together beforehand and went straight into two invited audience dress rehearsals.
I am therefore expecting changes to be minimal or non existent.
(Which is fine by me as I think tone wise it hits a sweet and natural spot which could easily be lost with unnecessary tinkering!)
Anyway; do look forward to reports from anyone going this week. Do please let us know!

So I think they’ve definitely had a bit of time before these dress rehearsals they’re doing.
