Just got out from the matinee today and wow I can see why this show is so raved about, it’s very very funny and the songs are very good.
I accidentally booked to see their first ever captioned performance, but if anyone is wondering the caption screens are positioned in the boxes on both sides so there’s no obstruction but if you need it then you can easily flick your eyes between the stage and the screen without missing anything (I did utilise it a few times to understand some of the faster lyrics!)
My main issue still remains with the cost of the tickets. I managed I win the lottery and got my seat for £25 but if I’d paid £89 for it I would have been cross. This was row E dress circle so I could see the majority of the action except the very front of the stage but it required a lot of looking around various heads. It was definitely a cheap-seat so I didn’t mind what I paid, but the idea of charging £89 for these is a complete rip-off by the producers. The idea of everyone paying the same is okay on paper, but it only works if it’s relatively inexpensive so that everyone has the opportunity to buy the best seats. A £50/£60 rate would ensure sell-out houses and keep the show running while not making people pay almost £100 for views that normal shows would charge £30 for

Posters now up on the show's website for £10 - they're signed by the full company including alternates too, nice little touch!

Caught this again last night, very last minute but managed to get Row C dead centre which is the best seat I've had for it so far. I believe Natasha Hodgson is off for the rest of the week with a bereavement so I was very lucky to see her again as she is the heart and soul of this wonderful magic show.
Next step is to try and convince some non musical theatre fans along to it because it's an ideal gateway drug!

Excellent news, if unsurprising!
I’ll be interested to see how many of the OG cast remain by the end of this latest extension, however.

I wouldn't have thought there would be a new cast if the show ended in June? Might be wrong. If it gets extended further then a new cast will probably come in next summer. I saw the show on Saturday for the first time after listening to the soundtrack non-stop since July. It was so good, and I'll definitely be going again at some point soon (live in Southampton so don't get up to London much). Full cast minus Christian who stood in for Jak.

Can anyone who as won the lottery for this one help me understand how it works?
I was thrilled yesterday to receive an email saying I'd won. Immediately clicked through to buy my ticket and was met with an error message saying the link I'd clicked was invalid and to contact support for help. Tried again from multiple browsers/devices, but no luck.
An hour or so later I tried again, and this time the link worked and I was shown a selection of £25 lottery seats. Selected one and went through the checkout process, only to be met with the same "invalid link" error. Tried three more times, using different browsers and different credit cards just in case. Each time it allowed me to choose a seat, input my card information (and showed the standard timer saying I had X minutes to complete my purchase) but then produced the same error message saying the link I'd clicked was invalid. Never did manage to secure a ticket and eventually gave up.
Just curious to hear from someone who has successfully purchased tickets through the lottery. Was this a tech glitch, or was I doing something wrong? (Would like to be prepared if I ever win again!) Is it just that they're selecting far more winners than tickets available, so you really only "win" if you're one of the first to click the link? I did notice that the rules say a max of 2 tickets, but the system actually allows 6, so I'm guessing handful of winners quickly bought up all of the seats. I did message them when it happened, but nobody ever replied.
Found the whole experience very frustrating, especially as they don't offer any "cheap" seats other than the lottery. Most shows have something for £15-£25, even if it's partial view or the back row of the upper circle, but the cheapest seat they offer is £40ish, which is a bit more than I'm looking to pay.

I got 2 tickets in the lottery yesterday. Seemed to be a fairly easy process for me, apart from the fact I kept needing to choose new seats as the ones I'd chosen kept being taken before I could checkout. Link doesn't work anymore for me now, after just checking. I'm assuming that the lottery eligible tickets have all been taken, and they might have all been taken when you clicked the link? I bought my tickets at about 4.30pm. I did also notice that the email said I could get two tickets, but the ticket site said I could get a maximum of 6. So maybe everyone who got on about the same time as me got 6 and the seats all just went really quickly.

Made my last Mincemeat trip of the year last night and got to see Christian for the first time. Having seen Jak in the role 10 times, it did take some adjusting but he put his own unique spin on the characters. Really enjoyable.
Sat in Row AA for the first time too. A great experience but only if you know the show very well already! It is extremely close to the action and you do look up a lot. The stage isn’t crazy high though, essentially eye line level.

Such a fun show--at once super smart and supremely silly--marred only by the fact that my American ears had a hard time understanding some of the lyrics, particularly in the rap numbers. I like sitting up close, but I'd give the fourth row of that theater a B-.

Hope it's ok to post here as it's short notice but on the noticeboard I've posted one stalls ticket for tonight at the lottery price (£25) if anyone wants to see it for cheap!

Where is good to sit in the upper circle? We won the lottery anbd no other seats left, but seatplan makes them all look pretty dire?

The cast and fans were just on the BBC’s 6 o’clock news, talking about Hester Leggatt and unveiling a plaque for her at the Fortune Theatre.

Happy to see that! Still haven't seen the show, but extending this gives me more opportunities to do so. It's a shame that they don't offer rush tickets and the lottery ones are only for the balcony

Yeah the upper circle was pretty dire. I never normally buy tickets that rubbish but felt compelled to see this and not spend big bucks on it. The sound is a bit poor, hard to hear the rap/quickly sung lines. sightline aren't the absolute worst but not great when the leaners in the second row start to lean. I don't think I've ever seen something from the gods and really enjoyed it, a lesson for me going forward to probably just spend more money or don't spend anything at all.

My thoughts exactly from a few shows that I've seen from far away / balconies. Either spend some more money or don't go see this at all. It's a wasted show for me if I'm not sitting in the first 14 rows in the stalls (alternatively front of the first balcony). Does anybody know if they offer any lottery seats to stalls? I remember the first time I won the lottery there were a few, but they were gone quickly. And then another time I've won, there were only upper circle ones.

In my experience it’s a bit luck of the draw with lottery availability. The first time I won it was quite early on and there were seats everywhere (including front row dress circle) for dates well in advance. Other times it has been upper circle only and only for the next fortnight, as is now the norm.
I won this week and there was availability all over (including front row stalls and dress circle) but I think that’s because they’ve extended the eligibility period to cover the Christmas season. No Mondays and Tuesdays though.
At least with the new extension it’s safer to hold out for a win where some good seats are on offer!
