Well they've changed their tune. I remember when the HBO/BBC series Rome started they actually published a minute-by-minute guide to the sex scenes, so their readers could watch the football on the other side without missing any boobs. I am shocked by the language though. No c***s? A prime example of misogyny though. I have no doubt that her gender makes them feel it’s unacceptable... A series written by men that gives other men the opportunity to objectify women however, well then... that’s just peachy.

She was predictably great last night, wasn't able to see previous runs but it almost felt too easy - audience lapped it up.
No-show seats were filled from the standers - we were in the back row with seats on the outside aisle and were just lurking around our seats. With 5 mins to go, we sat down, a couple drifted into our vacated space against the wall and within 2 mins they were given a pair in the middle of the front row - argh!!!
Nice to see a show that has been expanded for tv in its original form, makes you really appreciate the consistency and quality of the writing.

Bank holiday Monday and a hot day predicted. I’m 15th in the queue at 6:30. The queue started 2 hours ago so I’m told. I think my extra 2 hours in bed was worth it!

So far the most aggressive begging has been “I hope you get your tickets and can you spare some change”. But I suppose 15 of us is an army.

Next people arrived at 7am. So 7am looks like a “safe” time to arrive.
Update. About 30 people by 7:30.

I feel almost glad that I could easily book a ticket for the cinema screening here Though at 20 Euro, that's more expensive than seeing the lady LIVE in London

Saw that too...seemed a lot of noise near the end..did someone get kicked out? I heard someone asking about it on the way out but didn't see or hear anything during the show - was it in the stalls?

I find the popularity of this absolutely fascinating. She did a run of the show AFTER the first series had been on TV. It was at Soho Theatre and I don't recall it being that difficult to get a ticket. It just shows how popular the second TV series was. Your memory is a tad faulty there. The post series one Soho theatre run sold out inside of half an hour.

Timing must have been on my side.

Never seen "Fleabag" on TV, deliberately, as I wanted to encounter the play first - never got to it at Soho. So: it's an interesting piece of writing. Phoebe Waller-Bridge isn't the greatest writer nor the greatest actor, but as a combination of the two she is very, very special, I think. I found some of it dated in the #metoo era, and some of it incredibly callous any normal person would call a vet instantly, surely? but it was very human too. 4 stars from me, and I'm going to buy the DVD of the TV series, I think. Or watch both series on Iplayer? www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/p070npjv/fleabag

Phoebe Waller Bridge is a genius. That’s all I have to say on the matter.

I’m not sure this is the right place for this post but Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be signing copies of Fleabag: The Special Edition at Waterstones, Piccadilly today at 2pm.

I enjoyed the show, but balked at the prices for this when tickets went on sale, and am slightly regretting my decision.
I know that chances for tickets are vanishingly slim now, but I've been keeping half an eye on the DMT site since the odd seat seems to pop up every now and then. I assumed that these were returns, but from checking sporadically over the last week they don't really seem random enough; the same groups of ~£150 stall/royal circle seats seem to appear and disappear across multiple performances.
Does anyone know what's up with these seats on the DMT site? If these are returns (i.e. there's a chance for some cheaper seats to come up) then I'll keep looking for these last few days, but if they are something else (e.g. unwanted corporate tickets, so will always be the premium prices) then I won't bother.
Cheers,

The other night, it was "house full" and there were still empty seats in great locations in the stalls. SO galling !!!

I really liked this, I've seen the TV series and thought it was good but Phoebe Waller Bridge really is a tour de force on stage,

Going to the NT Live screening tonight in Stratford as I couldn't get tickets for the show, I'm hoping we don't lose much in terms of stage presence by watching it on a screen, will be interesting.

Can't make it to the NT Live tonight because of work but Stratford have a load of encore screenings in a couple of weeks so I'll hopefully try to catch one of those if people going tonight say the image and sound quality is ok!

My track record with NTLIve hasn’t been great but hoping that was venue specific as I try somewhere different tonight..!

So good, flawless screening at Home, Mcr. Hadn’t realised this originated at the Fringe. Really enjoyed the NTLIve “Behind the Scenes” prior to the actual screening. Hadn’t realised the full extent of the production that goes into the screening.

Somewhat biased as I adore Fleabag the series and think Phoebe is the best writer working today, so it's no surprise I loved it! So interesting to see the seeds from which the series grew, and some of the darker stuff that thankfully didn't make it to the screen! The phrase 'tour de force' is overused but I think it applies to Phoebe's performance tonight.
