(bolding mine) Why God, why? Why is someone with such a thin and breathy voice and no charisma whatsoever casted for so many shows? Haven't the producers of this seen Shrek and/or Elf? Christ, there is so much talent out there.

Remember though... the other two roles she played were already created and performed either here or on Broadway... with this they will no doubt tailor it to suit her voice and style to make it work.

I love the movie.
Kimberley Walsh, not so much (as a performer).

London likes to turn a chick flick and re-imagine it for the stage.

So Annie Reed will be a speaking part. Still, I think she should never be allowed on any theatre stage.

The first thing I look for is the list of creatives but there's nothing. It appears to have had a couple of different scores already over the five years or so it's been planned. Anyone any idea whose writing it?

Heavy reliance on a great child actor who can do a convincing American accent.
Well, more than one presumably.
Could be a car crash.

I assume it will be an original score rather than Juke box. If so I wonder who the creative team are?

I don't think it's a horrible subject at all-but why the heck call it Sleepless vs Sleepless in Seattle? You immediately use such a great sales connection by dropping out the name. No one would know that it's based on "the beloved movie" unless told.

Sleepless in Seattle has instant name recognition. Really don't get why they would change it.

Looks like Sleepless in Seattle is coming to the West End via Plymouth and Dublin. Doesnt London just love a chick flick musical, with Pretty Woman being muted, after stuff like Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Flashdance and Fame? Recognise one of the producers who did Elf last year, so prices could be eye watering. www.playbill.com/article/sleepless-in-seattle-musical-heading-to-west-end

Threads merged again! How many Sleepless threads ARE there? Do shout up if you spot any more but for now Daniel has the prize for the earliest. Thread title edited to reflect the latest title of the show.

This was meant to be on from 25 March to 15 April but we received a letter today to say it will now open on 1 April to allow an extra week of rehearsal time, so need to move our tickets.
