I’m sure a friend told me what this was but I can’t for the life of me remember what. Part of me remembers it being another children’s story adaption but my memory is crap these days.

The RSC's Miss Littlewood deserves a London run in my opinion.

It's definately The Boy in the Dress. When you click the "Sign Up" link on the ads that keep floating around Facebook and the website it says it at the top.

If it's that then not sure it's the much of a new announcement, especially as members of the creative team have been talking about it coming to RSC on chat shows

From wiki.
The musical is based on the 2008 novel The Boy in the Dress, which was written by David Walliams, with illustration by Quentin Blake.[3] The novel was previously adapted into a BBC television series in 2014.[4]
In February 2018, Gregory Doran artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company confirmed that the RSC were working with David Walliams on an undisclosed project.[5] In May 2018, the show was officially confirmed and is expected to receive its world premiere in 2019 at Stratford-upon-Avon for the festive period.[6] The show has a book by playwright Mark Ravenhill[6] and will feature direction by Gregory Doran.[6] The musical will feature an original score and lyrics by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers.[7]
