Looks like there will be additional pieces of set coming to London!
Extended ice bridge and new grooves/gaps in the show deck! Wonder what that will mean ?!

I’ve spotted a turntable which is good news. Monster and many scenes will look better than in Australia/US Tour.

Pretty sure the dress doesn’t go into the floor anyway. I’m sure when I saw it in NYC it just got sucked backwards upstage. London will have a new ice staircase, I think the first time it will have been done properly. They need a new ice staircase and hydraulic castle rising from the floor like pride rock! I had so many visions in my head when I heard Frozen would be a musical. Think 1980’s epic musical sets - think Sunset Boulevard, Time or Metropolis. Glad they are putting in a staircase! |

There is more of an ice staircase for London, but don’t get too excited about any other improvements!

London will have a new ice staircase, I think the first time it will have been done properly. The dress does get pulled through the deck to substage - there are multiple videos proving this. The mechanism is disguised by appearing to be a trap door for the ice spikes. On the US Tour, the dress is pulled into the raised ice staircase truck. |

That staircase is actually just a ice bridge that Anna and Kistroff cross and sing "what do you know about love". On broadway, it was a massive bridge that came down from the fly, but it seems for the dury lane it will be a truck set like the us tour but made bigger. I also noticed quite a difference on the stage floor from broadway, more tracks for moving sets and smaller trapdoors for the icicles used in "monster". And is that a triple revolve i see?? As for the dress reveal, it will probably will be like the us tour with a truck set unless Disney decided to do something else... Caissie Levy has posted a great video from the wings of the last half of her last Let It Go on Broadway including the dress change. I don’t have a huge interest in the show but you can just see the audience’s faces towards the end and god it made me want to be back in a theatre.

If you're a Sky VIP, they have a great 30 minute film all about the London Production. It shows the set building, costume designs, it talks about the snow bridge and is hosted by the actors playing Sven and Kristoff. You can access it through the app, or online, but you have to get sent a code to access it.

Has anyone heard anything about new dates for Frozen?
My original date was moved to April but I got an email end of Jan to say they were rearranging this again and would be in touch with my new date but I've still not heard anything.

I can’t make my new date (unless the other show postpones too!!) Same here - we're supposed to be seeing Beauty and the Beast in Bristol on our new date for Frozen. Will wait for the official email then see about moving them I suppose... |
