Could they move theatres? Mamma Mia has now been shown in three theatres, without a break in its run. If the ticket sales are as strong as you say, will they close a show before looking at retaining the show in another venue? In short yes. I've been told the current production (42) has been designed to be able to scale into other receiving houses, most notably with the intention to put it on the road at some point.

Anyone going next sat night ? I'm there! C6 Stalls, on the aisle. That was the exact seat I had last night (from TodayTix Rush), enjoy! It has a great view due to how the aisle is at an angle and you can stretch your legs into the aisle (just move them back quickly during your interval as nobody looks where they’re going any more).

Decided to give tonight a miss as I'm not great with snow, but will be there tue or wed next week depending on whether I can get something with Today Tix to see the new cast. Anyone know why there is no show on Thursday?
Have a great time everyone going tonight

And Stuart’s voice held (and, of course, he doesn’t sing as much in part 2). Fantastic reactions, I’ve never seen an audience clap when the stairs appear (or at several other times in the show). A Standing Ovation from all four levels. Just a shame I can’t get tomorrow and I hope the predicted snow doesn’t mess up the plans for anyone else. yes, first time I witnessed the audience get excited for the stairs was rather nice actually. Last night was a good audience.

Toying with seeing this for a 3rd time on Monday or Girl From the North Country - anyone who has seen both please help!! I have seen both, but they are chalk and cheese, so it depends what you want.
If you want fabulous dancing and a guaranteed smile on your face when you leave, go for 42nd Street. If you want incredible acting and heartwrenching moments, go for The Girl from the North Country (and it helps if you like Bob Dylan tunes too).

Amazing show! Muck up matinee: When Julian tells the Ensemble to leave if they can't handle it, two of the leaving cast walked off. Sheena ripped Julians jacket when she was pisssed at him. A woman had a fake canary on her shoulder the majority of the Ensemble scenes. During Plenty of Money, the boys had planned to stop singing at one point without telling one of them, so he ended up singjng solo. And then when Clare spins around the boys and they out their arms out, Greg being the first put his arms out and no one else did. Although Sam at the end did, just out of sympathy I think. a couple added lines here and there. They were the only major ones. Amzing as usual, Clare cried during Quarter to Nine, not gonna lie I got a bit teary during that number and thentitle number. Looking forward to tonight!

In my seat, and feeling excited! Let’s get ready to tap! 😃 Enjoy the show if you’re here too!
Edit: that awkward moment when you accidentally upgrade your seat to the Royal Circle when you should be in the Balcony - enjoyed watching a little dispute going on in front of me! Upstairs to the Gods you go...

OMG - what an amazing night! The atmosphere was electric and the audience on fire. It really was emotional and I freely admit I shed a tear! This cast have been amazing and it will be sad to see some great people go. Eddie, Greg,Sam, Stuart, Norman to many to name! I look forward to Monday to see what Lulu and Ashley and Matthew bring to the show! Great to meet so many lovely people from the board, both Daniel’s, Tony, Chrismis x

It's times like this when I wish I lived nearer to London. Having said that I was working yesterday anyway so couldn't have made it. Sounds like a great night though.

If anything was evident last night, it is that the true stars of this show is Clare, Stuart and the Ensemble. Not only was it its usual amazing self, the audience were on the ride from start to finish. As soon as that curtain revealed the feet, the Ensemble recieved three bursts of applause and cheers throughout the first number alone. And it didn't let up. People went crazy for the mirror, the dancing on the piano, and of course the staircase moment, which had applause and cheering throughout and standing ovation from several in the audience. So well deserved too, this cast have become the strongest in the West End in a long while, and they went out with a true bang! Several of the cast in tears at the curtain call, I must admit I shed a few tears once or twice. Fabulous evening, enjoyed it greatly! Also, I forgot one or two more muckups from the matinee: - Ryan didn't dance with Sam in the gangster outfits, Sam did it alone. - Ryan was the one to bump Peggy into Dorothy, rather than the sailor. - In the Regency club scene, the couples danced in same-sex pairings at the start of the scene rather than opposite sex couples. And in the evening, one of the dancers shoes came off by mistake when they laid down for the mirror scene.

That makes me kind of glad that I wasn't able to go, I can't stand masses of cheering and applause. If I'd not been working yesterday I'd have wanted to see the matinee over the evening performance anyway but I couldn't do either. Looking forward to seeing the new cast sometime, wished I could go tomorrow but I can't.

Looking forward to seeing the new cast sometime, wished I could go tomorrow but I can't. I will say the audience were very respectful. It wasn't screaming and cheering every moment, it was for the most part just at the end of songs. Only the big dance or set moments that got added applause. It wasn't Wicked level or anything, which to be honest I was grateful of.

It may, or may not, be anything, but when ALW was on The One Show last night, plugging his book, he said that the refurbishment of Drury Lane would start in a year - not after Christmas, or next summer, but in a year. So I imagine they will see out the new cast and close between January and March 2019. To be truthful, Clare is close to impossible to replace, one of a kind, so the duo of her and Ashley will be a nice pairing to end on. Although it should be noted that if the show still continues to sell how it does at the moment, there is the possibility it could extend, you never know. Andrew could well change his mind. I guess time will tell. I imagine if they want to have Frozen or another show for late 2020, the refurb has to start in March 2019

Lulu Holiday/Standby Steph Parry: Mar 29 - Mar 31 Jun 16 Jun 22 - Jun 23 Jun 30 11 performances off, four double show days, three single shows but alongisde double show days. Thanks for the info, that's a shame for me she's off 3 Saturdays in June, as that's when I was hoping to go! Am I right in thinking her last day is 7th July? I might have to try for 9th June in that case, as I imagine 7th July will be busy.

Rozzi Rainbow 7th July is also the date I worked out to be Lulu's last. I'm planning on going at the end of June but may have to try and squeeze in a trip during April as I do want to try and see Lulu in the role. May have to try and get down on one of the Saturdays in June to see Steph as well.
